PIN code/cabin discount -- blackout dates?

this might be a resort code board question ... but thought I'd ask here first :)

I have an email PIN code good for many dates this year, including our fall break time frame in early October. The only thing is, I can't get the discounted rate at the cabins, even when I try to book using the PIN code email. From what I can tell, it's the only week showing rack rate

The rate change starts on September 30, but the PIN email says discount is good through 10/8. Oddly enough, when booking through the special offers on the WDW site, I can get a discounted cabin on September 30 & October 1.

Anyone have a clue why this might be?
 
Each code and discount is allotted a certain block of rooms, cabins, and/or campsites for each specific date on the calendar.

The block of cabins that may or may not have been allotted to your PIN code for those dates are gone.

The block of cabins allotted to the general public discount for those dates are not gone.

Keep trying changing dates around and perhaps booking some days with the pin code and some days with the website discount.

I'm thinking you're probably right about the reason. I had considered that, but for 8 days to be gone so quickly seemed unlikely to me. Especially when there's plenty of availability leading up to Christmas Day. But sure enough, after October 2, there's nothing available but rack rate. :(
