Pillows at DVC not good - I think they buy them with All Stars Movies

I agree....DVC has HORRIBLE pillows....Just horrible...

We fly and we always take our own pillows, we just roll them up in space saver bags and they fluff right back up when we arrive. However, we take our own pillows everywhere, cruises, car trips, plane trips, etc....I could sleep on the floor if I have my own pillow but a bad pillow on a great bed and I will be up all night..

The chairs out on the balcony are also substandard IMO...I really think DVC should have metal chairs like the deluxe resorts do.

First thing I do when I hit my room is call for feather pillows. Yes, at BCV it's a problem since they don't understand what you're asking for when you call. Perserverance pays off (3 trips once!). We sleep on a top-of-the-line Select Comfort at home, so the BCV queen mattress is really a shock. I can tolerate it if I have enough extra pillows to make my own pillowtop mattress. DH is on his own. Diana

When the bellman brings your bags to the room, can you ask them for extra pillows? I know at VWL they offered to get us ice, wonder if they could go grab a few feather pillows?

I like the mattresses! I like my mattresses HARD, though. But the pillows aren't too bad, if they gave me enough of them! Who ever heard of ONE pillow per person???? Three pillows is the bare minimum, as far as I'm concerned.

From home, my husband brings his own down pillow (I don't mind the foam DVC ones), and we also pack our soft cotton FITTED sheet (hate it when hotels use flat sheets).
On our trip last month to BWV, my husband had a really hard time sleeping on the mattress. We ended up completely flipping it over, and then it was fine. Firm is fine, but it was lumpy and the covering was all wrinkled.
We have such comfortable bedding at home, it's really hard to sleep comfortably when we go away!

We bring our own pillows. We pop them into spacebags and presto they fit into our suitcases, no problem.
