Pilgrms on the Move-updated 11/21-leaving in the morning!

Just popping in to say hello and catch up on your plans. Do you know how you're going to tell the kids yet?

Not much longer!! :yay:

D of D and S here: It's been awhile since my last post, I couldn't wrap my brain around all of this 5 months out...We are only weeks away and we still don't have a full proof awesome reveal plan. Rapunzel loves to read so I thought maybe we could incorporate something into a story, although that seems complicated and a bit involved at this point. Someone posted on here something about t-shirts that would reveal the true nature of our trip. I like that idea but how do we do that so that our DD and their DS and DD all find out at the same time and in the same place so that we can all share in their joy. Thinking out loud here...my DD thinks that she and my DW Are accompanying me on a business trip to Georgia; never done before but not outside the realm of possibilities. So, if our host family thinks they are doing the same (it's conceivable that their dad and I could be business partners) then the morning after we overnight in Georgia we reveal at breakfast by handing them the "Disney" t-shirts.

We were altogether at a bday party tonight and I think we came up with our final plan.

We will be meeting up in 2 WEEKS!!!! and doing dinner together that night. We had mickey tie-dye shirts made up by a friend of mine who does tie dye as her side business. At dinner we will give them the shirts and tell that we are going somewhere fun and got some tshirts to wear.

After they open up their shirts the adults will yell and shout and wave their hands around in sheer joy and anticipation while my son will look non-chalantly and say, "I knew it...." b/c at his age he thinks he knows EBVRYTHING!!! and then probably Rapunzel and Sassy will be totally excited and not be able to sleep that next night!!!

I cannot believe we are two weeks away from leaving-I haven't even thought about what to really pack and am hoping that my ankle (which I sprained 2 weeks ago) is fully recovered by then. :goodvibes

Yay! Post pics/reactions of the reveal!

And be sure to wear your LGMH's in the Park! Almost time!! :cheer2:

you are so right!!! It is really starting to hit me that in less than 2 weeks we will be in Disney again!!!!

The start of this trip can't come sooner. I can't believe the number of times we've almost spilled the beans. Yesterday it was my fault. I commented to a Georgetown alumnus, "No, we won't be traveling with the team to Maui because we decided to go to Disney again." :headache: Of course, as the words Disney are coming out of my mouth I catch my wife's look out of the corner of my eye. So, I cover by saying, "Well, you know we have to save for another Disney trip." I think DD was too occupied playing a game on some mobile device to pick up on the conversation. YAY TECHNOLOGY!

It ishard to believe but we are hitting the road inless than 12 hours!!!

TheBoy is pre-testing for his black belt test tonight. If you see a mom either making her son do pushups, practicing self-defense, or going over Korean history in a line they that is us, LOL. He takes his test the 3rd and we get back the 1st-YIKES!

So we never quite finished the pre-trip. Here are our final plans:

Sat-DHS
Sun-EPCOT for us and I think Universal for D and S. We have reservations at 'Ohanas that night so we may be meeting up again :)

Mon-Magic Kingdom-we have lunch plans for Cinderella's Royal Table. We could not get a table altogether but have 2 reservations at the same time so we are hoping we can check in a bit early and get seated together

Tuesday-our last day-EPCOT for us (my son's fave-not set in stone) and MVMCP that evening. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Wednesday morning we have reservations at 1900 Park Faire for breakfast before we leave and hen hit the road for our sad drive home :guilty:

A funny side note-last Thursday my son came home and said, "J is so lucky-he gets to go to DISNEY for Thanksgiving..." We agreed that was lucky for him-and now will be keepig an eye out for his classmate while we are down there!!!
