Pictures - Testing World of Color at California Adventure

you might have to see it sooner than you think, look at Fantasmic that has been around since 1992. 18 years later and it sill packs the west side of the park with thousands of guests.
I think World of Color will be the same and lets not forget that they are working on animated sequences that will change occasionally for special occasions. Don't be surprised if next year they decide to add a sequence CARS to tie it in with the movie

somehow, i imagined the water screen waaaaay bigger than that. :\

probably be AP previews...

it is actually quite a large display...I think that it only looks small in the photos due to the tower in the foreground, which is aprox 2-3x closer than the fountains.

From the viewing area at CA, it should cover your entire field of view (or so it seems). I'm looking forward to any Holloween theming to the show come October...now that would be cool!

WOW:wizard:.....this should be a great spectacle when completed.

All together now...

"OOOOOOHHH, AAAHHHHH, OOHHHHHH!"

Thanks for sharing!

Wow that a really cool!!!!! Thanks for posting... :cool1:

It looks amazing! Thanks for sharing your pictures. :)

Wow! That'll be amazing to see in person :)

Uhuh.
I was just looking forward to watching the ferris wheels colors changing...ok still really looking forward to that :goodvibes

I assume that as time goes on, people staying at the GCVs will see more and more of the show, and with music ("dress rehearsals"). I can't overemphasis the kinetic aspects of the fountain/light combination, as these photos can't do justice to the moving patterns of lights and fountains.

Sadly, I have no video...it wasn't until the next day that I even thought of taking video, and that's the day we left!

Does anyone know what time of the evening they do the testing (like is it super late at night to "hide" it from most people, or just later after closing)? My friends are there now at the GCH and have a pool/park view and she wondered if I could find out more details on the timing, if anyone knows! I'm sure it changes day to day, but some generalities would be helpful. Plus we're there at the end of the month and I'd definitely try to get a theme park view upgrade if we could get a sneak peek! Thanks.

Thanks for sharing! That last projection looks like a blacklight poster I had when I was a teenager  :hippie:

I'm also wondering about testing... I'll be at the VGC this Thursday and Friday night... requested a Paradise Pier view, but we'll see. I would love to know what time the testing went on, so we can try to get a peek!!!!!!!! Or is the WOC viewing platform open so any DVC guest can go up there and look around?

last time i saw it, it was around 9 they started... i left around 12 and they were still working on it.

I'm so bummed that we will miss this in April. It looks outstanding. Thanks for posting those pictures. :worship: :worship:
We will be at the GC but not in the villas. I guess I will have to start planning another trip so I can see it. ;)
