Oh, man...I had one of those kid science books when I was a kid that had pictures of that place! I loved reading about it and looking at it. I never knew it was near WDW! I recall the walls were made from a sprayed foam type substance that coated an inflated object to make the shape. Wish I had gone there!
Lol, that last picture of Mission to Mars definitely conjures up memories of the sheer excitement involved. I think we went on that once and once only!
When you go on the ride now, you will see the scene where the woman holding the broomstick is chasing the pirate. It used to be the other way around. Disney changed this to be less of a the portrayal of violence against women.

That last picture is priceless. Really tells the "Mission to the Mars" story. I remember getting all excited when the ride was "re-imagineered" away from Flight to the Moon, hoping that something really cool was coming. I think I went on it once and pretty much had the reaction of all the people in that photo.
I DO. It was awesome! Both DH and I were able to get down into the hot seat, and have the lanyards, pins, hats, and polo shirt (just me) to show for it. This was before kids, and now most of the pins have been traded for other stuff throughout the parks. I lost the $250K question, DH lost out at $32K. Thanks!
