Awesome pic! I have a picture of my Brother somewhere on the Island with a bird on his shoulder in the early 70s...I'll have to dig that out!

Aha! Were they rolled-up posters? That solves a question in my head... we have a photo of us all taken late at night under a 25th anniversary sign and we are all carrying white rolled up papers - I had forgotten about the posters and often wondered what we were carrying in that picture!! I bet they are still in a box somewhere... I must investigate!Free gift for everyone during 25th anniversary year(I remember a lot of these thrown in the trash by people who didn't want them!) I still have mine framedView attachment 83582
I'm so amazed the great and mighty Disney hasn't ceased and desisted it yet -- it's been going since October 2013!
Opening day with 1000+ member band. There were 76 trombones.

I see people posting photos of the Earful tower. Is it gone?
I do have some pictures from the early 70s but I have to dig those up...but for now these will have to do...

Fireworks Factory...at the REAL Pleasure Island...I used to love to eat there with the huge sparkler drinks!
My wife and I loved to party it down at The Adventurers Club! So many memories from our honeymoon there in 2001! I was picked on ALOT!
The Cage on Pleasure Island....for its unique decor and progressive music which I loved at the time!
And my favorite stay...Port Orleans Riverside...will always be POR...first stay on Disney Property and our honeymoon choice!

This thread is awesome! Thank you all for your posts. Soooo many memories!
Does anyone remember Donald's Safari Breakfast before it was at the Tusker House Restaurant. It was in the building that is now Restrauntasaurus. We went to Disney in 2000 and ate there and loved that breakfast. The food was served out of cast iron pots.

I found this information about the Character Breakfast in Dinoland. It was originaly called Donald's Breakfast Safari and then changed to Donalds Breakfastasaurus.
I found some pictures on line but it had other families in them so I didn't want to repost. I couldn't fin any with just the characters.
It appears that the characters are all dressed about what they are at Tusker House so I am sure that they built housing for the breakfast and moved it there since it was so popular and then changed the theme so I would fit in to Africa. I just remember the food being served in big cast iron pots and the characters were so interactive.
