Another shop (facade only) displaced by the expansion of the Emporium. I doubt this would fly in today's world...

Thanks!

2 HOURS! Dang, that's a commitment to one attraction! Must have taken some serious planning to work it in with all the other shows at HS, like Beauty and the Beast, Indiana Jones, Lights Motors Action, Little Mermaid...

Not really a planning issue. When the tour was that long and involved, very little else in MGM was built yet. No LMA, no Little Mermaid, no ToT...etc.

I do remember them making a BIG deal out of going to the bathroom before the tour started. There were no planned stops for the entire 2 hours. Even in an emergency, there were no restrooms to be found as you were really in the sound stages and there just were none.

They used to sell these babies at the Refreshment Port in Epcot. I vividly remember running over to grab some while my hubby watched our spot for Illuminations when my oldest son was only 4yo...

I remember there being a few of show stages in the Magic Kingdom..I remember sitting on the benches and watching the Halloween stage show with Mickey and the gang with Donald being a ghost. I miss those shows. Just never knew when you were going to walk up on one!

There was also a cart in Adventureland/Frontierland (When you were walking towards Splash from Pirates it was just before the bridge on the left) and I loved getting fries from there

Thanks, yeah, after reading the article that JimmyV provided, detailing the first iteration of the tour (and it's ultimate demise), it really did use up what seems like most of the current park. I still can't believe they didn't provide a bathroom break(s) along a 1.5 - 2 hour tour!!! That's some horrible planning IMO.
