pictures of the podcast crew.

I am going to Disneyland Paris on Friday  so that's a big plus - hoping to do a live trip report - don't know if they have internet access at the hotel, if not it will be slightly delayed.

Wow lucky you!! I think they have internet, depends which hotel you're in :)

:goodvibes

I found pictures of the whole podcast team from a meet in December 2007. You all look like you are very good friends, even if John is trying to hide behind Corey. Getting very excited for my trip. DH is trying to convince me we should go on the podcast cruise.:yay:

What do you mean "trying to convince you"? GO!

This is her husband.....I am trying....really trying, she is worried about the flight...here is the story, the first time we went to Disney World in 99, she had trouble with her ears and she was in alot of pain after the flight. We have been twice since and drove (a long way from Canada). But we are flying down in two weeks 6 days and she is going to see how they feel this time around with more information how to help (anyone else have any tips send them here.) She is afraid that she won't have a good time if she has the ear problems in such a short amount of time that the cruise is.:confused3

So we are just seeing how it is this time...I have asked for a quote three times from Tracy and she is going to not give me another one LOL....but I have to let her be comfortable.....

BUT I REALLY WANT TO GO!!!!!!!!:yay:  :dance3: :cool1:

The only time I had ear problems was when I had a cold. It was terrible and it took hours for the pressure to lift and though I didn't go to the doctor, I'm sure I ruptured my ear drum. Every time I blew my nose I heard wind coming out my ears (JASON - NO JOKES, PLEASE). Just keep sipping water and chew gum or mints to help clear the ears.

I hope you have a safe and uneventful flight and talk to your doctor for some advice.

My DD has problems with ear pressure when flying. She now uses "Ear Planes" which are specially designed plastic plugs that you put in your ears when taking off and landing. They do help.

They have them in CVS and Target but they are tricky to find. Look for the section where they have earplugs and they should be there.

Each set is only good for two flights so be sure you get enough if you have connecting flights.

I know, I'm so excited. I had some DVC reservation points I had to use, so I figured if I could get a good price on a flight I'd try to go. I found a flight on Air France for around $300 (from Copenhagen) - would you believe the taxes were more than the ticket price :confused3

I'm staying at the Sequoia (sp?) I'll have to go to the DLP area and research that. I don't want to take the laptop, just use my iPhone, so I'll need a wi-fi spot.

Suggestion: Add a WDW week before and see if that helps!:rotfl2:

:confused3I used to get terrible pain during the flight and deafness after flying. Over the years I've developed my own routine that's allowed me to keep flying. This year I flew down to FL at least 6 times. Last year about the same amount of trips. I experienced the pain maybe 2x and 3-4X had a hard time hearing for a few hours after the flight. If I have a cold before the flight I'll take Benadryl ( doctor suggested for the kids but I use it too) I use earplanes ( original not the CVS brand),chew gum, drink water and I use headphones and yawn a lot during the flight. Listen to the DIS podcast it'll make you laugh and as a result stretch your ear canal allowing it to pop. :)

I'll have to try the earplanes. I always have problems with my one ear. It takes hours to correct itself after I fly.

Wow, Kevin looks exactly how I pictured him in my mind!

In the picture above, Corey looks like a much more fashionable, younger, and easy going version of Simon Cowell, except his shirt is mocha brown/charcoal rather than the standard British black that Simon wears.

And Julie looks a lot like Victoria Beckham but with the attitude of Rachel Ray. :thumbsup2

And Posh, if you're reading this, PLEASE SMILE every couple of centuries!

The dreaded ear problem! I flew once and had such pain and couldn't hear for about a week out of my one ear. Here's what my ENT Doctor recommended...take Sudafed (the real kind not the PE version) one hour before your flight and spray Afrin or some other similar nasal spray product in each nostril about half an hour before the flight. I've been doing this for the past two years and I've never had another problem with my ears since. It may seem like overkill on the meds, but it's on HECK of a lot better than the pain and deafness!;)
