Pictures of the new BCV checkin desk?

Does anyone have any pictures of the new check in area for the BCV? Are they still keeping it seperate? Going in 12 days need to know which direction I'm headed in. Thanks!

Sorry, no pictures. But you won't have a problem with finding it - its right in the BCV lobby - where the DVC guide person used to sit. It's small, but when we used it on Sunday they also had a person standing by the entrance who just took our names and asked us to sit in the lounge area while she did the registration for us. A few minutes later, she came out with the keys, welcome home packet and the registration to sign. Painless.

You know, I've been wondering if they did this because of all the issues that have been mentioned here over the years about BCV check in mess ups. Maybe they now have DVC "special check in folks" instead of letting the main desk take care of it and mess it up.

It was nice. But strangely the pull-out in the living room of our 1BR (Room 210) wasn't one of the new types. Fortunately, no complaints from our 1 night guests.

But the trip was too short - we just couldn't do justice to the F&W festival and Epcot's 25th in the 3 days we were there. I'll have to plan for more next year!

You know, I've been wondering if they did this because of all the issues that have been mentioned here over the years about BCV check in mess ups. Maybe they now have DVC "special check in folks" instead of letting the main desk take care of it and mess it up.

Diane, I must have missed those reports. I haven't seen any more at BCV than any other resort and I tend to read the BCV reports avidly. Now, there was the one guy who sold his points because he was so mad that his requests were never met. We personally had an issue last trip with a guaranteed accessible villa but I suspect that was a software issue as others had similar troubles at the same time. Anyway, not doubting you as you may read all DVC reports more carefully than I.

Anyway, my guess is that it is to make the BC lobby less crowded. Both the Y&BC have very cramped check in areas compared to other deluxe resorts IMO.

I would like to think they did for benefit of DVC, and hopefully by default it will be a good thing, but I was told they did it because of complaints from resort guests about the over crowding of the Front Desk since DVC came on the property.

Way too much for us to do in the meager few days we were there. Planning a longer visit next year!

When we were in May in a 2bd lockoff, the sofa bed in the 1bd part was the old style (and kinda gross) while the studio had the new style (which was nice). Are they replacing all of them or just the ones in the studios?

FWIW, our unit was a dedicated 1 BR.

And we had a 2 BR lockoff in May. I know the LR was the new style as our son slept on it. The sofa in the studio portion certainly appeared to be the new style as it had the pull strap along the top. No one slept in it however.

We were on the first floor.
