Pictures of real things in VMK (updated...see post #15, #38 & beyond)

While at Disneyland yesterday, it was so crowded we weren't getting much time on rides, so we took some pictures.

After May, I will have more pictures from my trip...of the REAL castle, the dragon in the dungeon, skull rock and other cool things.

Here are some pictures of VMK Central at Disneyland:

This shows VMK Central, which is made up of two locations--the kiosk where you pick up quests, collect prizes, talk to a CM, etc. and the computer terminals which are located in the big building behind it (Innoventions):



This is a picture of just the kiosk:



These 2 pics are of the "cave" where you can log on to VMK, make "Born in Park" characters, play Scavenger Hunt, etc. It is located inside Innoventions:

Here is Shrunken Ned. He is located in the store across from the Jungle Cruise and Indiana Jones rides:

Awww how I miss my beloved Disneyland! Awsome pics thank you so much! I remember playing on those VMK labtops! It wasn't the easiest to play on but it was a nice relaxation form the crowds of people! Woot!

Well, in WDW there is no Esmeralda and no Shruken Ned. VMK central where you play the game is almost just like the on in VMK (not a cave like DL).

These are aweome pictures kit, thank you so much. It really makes me want to see my beloved Happiest Place on Earth again! Its been 18 yrs for me. Anyone have a photo of the sign at entrance that says that?

I'd also love to see photos from the magic kingdom at WDW to compare the vmk areas. Fun.

Great pics, thanks for sharing. I don't think I'll ever get the chance to go to Disneyland as it's so far away (11.5 hr flight ) so it's really nice to see some of the things that are associated with VMK. Keep them coming

No, it is inside Innoventions, which used to be Carrousel of Progress. Look at the first pic (the big building behind the kiosk). The buzz lightyear ride is where rocket rods used to be.

BTW, the other pics I was talking about after May...I'll be taking those from Disneyland Paris! A lot of the elements of VMK were designed from things there. But I will have more pics from Disneyland too. I hope someone else can add some from WDW.

OK, the castle was so beautiful I took a gazillion pics. Here they are:

I was surprised to see this area at Disneyland Paris. It's difficult to tell from the pictures, but...it is very similar to that in VMK. One side even leads to the Pirates ride.

Ok, these pics are not the best...sorry. But the dragon was HUGE and way cool. It is located to the side, below the castle at Disneyland Paris.
