pictures of my Mickeys Grand Welcome/Birthday - updated. DONE!

Disney has celebration packages you can purchase:

However, the op on this thread (with the help of designers) made the boxes & decorations shown herself.
I don't really know if the hotel would set up something you provide, you could call and inquire.

I can't afford the official Disney thing. I can be super-ninja if I need to be, just trying to figure out how to distract 3 kids long enough to set it up is what's getting me... I mean, I would have the boxes done already and in my suitcase, so I guess I could shoo them out, feign needing something and slip back in for a moment to toss them on the table or something...

How would one accomplish this as a single parent? Would the hotel be willing to set it up? Nothing fancy obviously, just the boxes?

Hi
no the resort will not do this for you. If you want to do your own Grand Welcome you must do it on your own. They (Disney) does offer a grand Welcome via the Disney Florist however it is very pricey.
Hope that clarifies things

An idea
You could tell them that they need to play a Hidden Mickey Game in the bathroom,,
have them find 5 hidden Mickey that you place in there. By the time they come out of the bathroom you should be able to have the stuff out of the suitcase and set up.

Or just outside the room... tell them to find the "hidden mickeys" while I take the bags into the room... or even give them a frisbee or something to play with right outside the room - ooo or chalk (do they let you draw on the sidewalks with chalk?) then chunk those bad boys out onto a table and then put suitcases on beds, LOL... single parents gotta get crafty sometimes...

You can do it,
I usually wait until my grand-daughter is sleeping to set out invites and evening Tinkerbelle treats.
Have fun planning
