Hi all

Sorry for late replies, have had a hard time the last few days here. My Dad's house was burgled and he is 75 and lives alone, 100 miles away from me (quite a distance here in the UK) so we've been up there securing the house etc.

I love the decorated room! Where did you get the ballons at your resort? I have everything in place but would really love actual ballons... but if I blow them up they won't float and that is what I would love for my kids! They love ballons!

Hiya. This was Disneyland Paris, and we drove there so we took some balloons that I bought at a greetings card shop and a helium cylinder that we bought at Asda. Not sure how we'd do it in the US

If anyone is looking for the tags. I made some of them and they are in my 4shared file in the link in my signature. Then look in the "mickey's grand welcome" file.

Everything turned out absolutely amazing! You did a GREAT job and I got a few ideas that I will try on future trips from your pics and amazing boxes.

Thanks so much - all my creativity is based on stuff you do, though, seriously! You're just so talented and creative - I can re-create lots of things but I just don't have the 'ideas' in the first place!

I am doing this with a princess birthday theme in May. Have just about everything ready to go. I to will not pay for the one from Disney Florist. I got all my decorations at Party City. Sending the basket down by UPS to our resort. I wonder about the balloons all so. I have a package of princess balloons, but I don't know how they are going to get blown up. Where did you stay. We are staying at CBR. My other thought was to bring thin sticks to put the ballons on if all else fails. What did you use to put things on the wall and windows and doors?

This was at Disneyland Paris at the Sequoia Lodge. The balloons on sticks were my first idea, but I couldn't find them!! I had about 20, but I don't know where I've put them! So I bought a cylinder of helium and did it that way instead!

I used blu-tak to put the stuff on walls etc. If you peel it off really slowly, it doesn't leave any marks.

We are taking our children 12 and 8 for the first time in September. We aren't telling them until we are on the plane. That morning when we wake them up we plan on telling them we are going with my husband to take a test (he is taking classes on line currently). I have ordered a lot of different things and shirts and I'm also working on making some shirts with some of these awesome DISigns. Your pictures gave me great ideas too. I can't wait to surprise them!

I'm planning on doing the same thing as you with combining my own affordable version of the Grand Welcome and Birthday celebrations. We will be there in September the week between my boys' birthdays, so I'm already in the process of creating things to make and surprise them in the room with. Having your photos helps a great deal in visualizing how it should look! You did an amazing job!

Wow! This is really amazing! I imagine your kids were thrilled to see all of this in the room. I need to do something like this for our vacation in Nov.
