I'm looking for any pictures that show the size of the balconies and the views from them, along with the room numbers. I've stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge and was wondering if the balconies size was similar. I'm leaning towards Beach, Yacht, Boardwalk, and Poly. Really I'm looking for a room with a larger balcony that could be the setting for a nice romantic dinner. Ideally, the doors would be french doors as opposed to sliding.

Any pics anyone? Thanks for the help, I need it!!!!

Here's a BWV BW view studio - rm 3013. Balconies are fairly small in most rooms although there are a few rooms that have deep balconies. My sister had a studio over Thimbles & Threads that was VERY deep - but enclosed so you had to stand to see anything. (Cannot remember room # but it was the 2nd floor) Her balcony you coudl enjoy a dinner on - most others there's just enough room for two chairs and a small table :)

We've only ever had French Doors but I am not sure if that's different in non DVC hotels.

Thanks MQuara for the pic!

Anyone else have any pics or know a website that might?

Thanks for the help!!

There are some great photos here taken by DIS members.
Just click the resort you want from the list - there are all sorts of photos of course but definitely some very nice balcony views!

We're going this fall too and have been searching for views of the boardwalk. We'll be in a 2bedroom villa pref & hoping for BW view. Your pic is so pretty - hope to see others posted here!

Sorry to say - you will not have a Boardwalk view if you have only booked "preferred" view. Since Preferred View and Boardwalk View are the same # of points - call Member Services and see if there's availability for a Boardwalk View.

Here's a daylight picture :)

I have some from 2004 in my signature from Poly.

We had a gorgeious view form our room at Yacht Club last year. (room # in siggy, also it was a very long walk to the room but the view made it worth the hike lol) Unfortunately I don't have a picture on my computer. But we could see the lighthouse over the lake and at night we could see Illuminations from our very big balcony. That view was probably one of my favorite things about our last trip.

Hehe picture it, standing on the balcony your honey's arms wrapped arounf you all the while watching the fireworks..absolutely wonderful :wizard:

The room we had at Boardwalk Villas was great too (room # in siggy) The view from this room was of the main pool area with Tower of Terror in the background. One morning we woke up and there were several hot air balloons floating over MGM..good times :goodvibes

there are some pretty big balconies on the second (?) floor of BC, in the curve that the BC rooms share with the BCV - the section pointing towards EPCOT. Unfortunately, we were on the floor above, with the teeny-tiny ones.

MQuara - thanks for your pictures - absolutely beautiful! and yes I did request Boardwalk view - can't wait!! (I forgot to put in I did request it :thumbsup2 ) Am renting points for first time so am anxious!

Here are some pictures of our balcony at the Polynesian, and of the views we had from room #3503, in the Hawaii (concierge) building. The balcony itself was a very nice size, one night we had about 8 people standing out there watching the fireworks, and we had room to spare. Also, there is a larger table inside the rooms at the Polynesian that is on wheels and would be perfect to bring outside for a nice romantic dinner
