Hi all!
We have a Disney Cruise coming up soon - yay!

This will be our second cruise. First cruise we didn’t select our specific room but ended up starboard with a verandah and loved it! We had the prettiest views!

We did eastern Caribbean last time and are doing the same, but this time going to San Juan instead of St. Thomas.

The room I chose this time has an extended verandah - but it’s port side. Didn’t even consider the side of the boat when I booked.
I just hope we aren’t too disappointed by the different views. Anyone have pictures taken from the port side of the ship?

I know you never know how the boat will be positioned exactly - and if another boat will be right next door - but I am hoping for beautiful early morning views while drinking coffee. 😁😁😁

The City of San Juan will be port side as you sail in. Go to the aft of the ship as you depart (unless it’s dark o’clock) to capture the fort.

I was mid-ship, port side on a cruise in October. Arriving late afternoon.

The City Wall. The red door is an old Gate to the city.

(These are from the year before - I had an interior, so was on deck somewhere). Continuing to our berth. You pass the Coast Guard station on this point.

Rounding to the left, you can see a Celebrity cruise docked.

Looks gorgeous! Thank you for all the info!!

I know I'm in he minority but I prefer port side at CC. I love watching as things gets ready for the day on the island and we have even been able to hear music from down below at times. We've also watched them unhook the ropes as we were getting ready to leave in the afternoon. It's kind of neat to see how it all works.

Plus when you leave all the CMs wave at you. Makes me sad to miss this as our upcoming cruise we are on the starboard side.

Awesome. I think we will enjoy that too!

Same! On our cruise in September we were on port side so got to watch us dock. Also got to see them 'shoot' out the mooring lines (somehow I had never seen/heard that before in previous cruises)? It was really cool to watch them work.

We're on the Fantasy in 5052 in January and sooooo excited about the huge verandah. I think my wife will love taking lots of pictures of whatever she can.

Absolutely!! I LOVE the Port side at Castaway since the ship *usually* backs in. (Just as a note, if they are drilling lifeboats on the Port side, they *will* go in forward.)

Even for the other ports, there is never a guarantee of what side will face what. In some ports in fact you may well be docked between 2 other ships.
