Pictures from my first DSLR

I purchased my first DSLR last week (Canon 40d) and got out to take a few pictures with it. I know they arent going to be as good as some of yours but thought I would share a few of the anyway. I am still just trying to learn as much as I can Hope some of these are ok :-s Let me know what you think thanks.

These were all taken with a Canon 40d and a 17-85mm lens

Dont worry about comparing your photos to someone elses right now. It all takes time.

I have had my 40D for about 3 months and I am still learning about all the things it can do.

The photo with the lion seems underexposed. If you shot in RAW you can could fix that with the DPP software that came with the camera.

Another tip is set the focus point to the center. I found I had problems letting the camera select the focus point.
