Evening all!

So tonight we went searching for centerpiece idea's...lol...oh what fun and imagination some Sake' brings!!! :cool1: Has anybody used pictures for their centerpiece?????

Our wedding is next fall and its going to have a very vintage mix-matched feel...we're doing black/white photo invites...the reception is in a historical building....and the centerpiece idea is to have a dark pink tablecloth scattered with autman leaves, dark orange/chocalte colored votive candles, and then a couple photos (in frames of course) of our parents/grandparents/great grandparents/siblings wedding days at each table.

I thought this is a great way to strike conversation with guest and it also includes all of our family...which is the biggest thing for us (family). So what do you all think...would it work??? Thanks for the opinions!!!! :listen:

this is a great idea i would love some help with centerpieces i had a vision of like a fall festival reception, candy apples and leaves and suggestions

I think it is an awesome idea.
Once I gave (many years ago) I gave a picinic basket with wine glasses a nice table clothe with matching napkins a bottle of wine chees cutter with chees and crackers, candles, but the thing that seemed to be appreciated the most was a framed picture of the father of the bride singing at my wedding. (he's a bit of a ham). but we love him.

edited" sorry forgot to say it was a wedding shower gift.

I am thinking of doing this too. My bridesmaid dresses are black with a small red band and our flowers are red poinsettias. I was thinking that black and white pictures with a red candle would be a good idea, but could anything else be added? Ya'll are so creative I thought I would ask!

The idea of Disney ornaments at a Christmas wedding. Placed in a large vase or crystal bowl in the center of the table I think would be beautiful. You could have them red, black and gold or silver? Maybe even use them as your favors. You could also used poisettia petals on the tables.

Those are excellent ideas! We are going to have a christmas tree in the room for presents that might come to the reception. I think ornaments would really tie in well!

I love the idea of using pictures! I can't wait to see how it turns out!
My wedding was also in a historic building...at a California Mission...so we had a funky vintage feel to our table settings too...

We used tin wind-up toys, and view masters, and colored pencils, and the tables were covered with kraft paper. Our candles were set in old mexican sugar molds, and our flowers were in shallow wooden dough bowls.

I found this on Martha Stewart online? What do you think? I like the picture, but the other things are not my style
