Picture resizing problem Cananyone help me?

Help me please. Can anyone?

I have pics I want to resize as in make smaller. When I do this via making less pixels the picture gets distorted/blurred. As in what I have in my sig...did the blurry thing too, but now I am getting worse.

Is there any help for me? What should I be doing to resize my pic?

I am just working in microsoft photo editor cuz I thought all I needed was to grab the corner and make it smaller--or go into resize and reduce the pixels

Can you 'lock' the pixel and just do the dimension? Are you trying to make the physical dimensions smaller, or the bytes?

You might want to try a different program to do the resizing. I find that it can make quite a bit of difference which program I use when trying to make images smaller. It also helps if you can resize by an integer amount. For example, a 1600x1200 pixel image resized to 400x300 does not have to do any fancy manipulation to come up with the new size.

Well, I was going to try to put on the Web. Don't want the file size or the pic size too big, but want it to be crisp enough to see. No matter what I do, seems I just don't have the know-how to manage it.

I agree with TC. I would think the bundled MS photo editor is pretty limited in its functionality. I use either Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 or Microsoft's Digital Image Pro 9, both excellent in my opinion, MS a bit easier to use.
