Last night's snow brings a welcome relief to all the fire danger warnings and evacuations this month. Pikes Peak is the pointed mountain in the clouds.

My sister and niece were on a road trip to the north of your state; they had FUN driving in a snowstorm day before yesterday! WE are not used to driving in snow! So happy you won't have to worry about fire at least for a few days!

We're making a donation to our school districts museum when it moves to a larger building later this year. Among the items...DD's drum major uniform from 1995. DGD's had fun last night trying it on (having a hard time believing their mother was once "that skinny" AND that she directed the band "with all that clothes on"!) Soccer uniforms are much more comfortable! Couldn't resist going through that closet and trying Pappy's Army uniform on either!

DGD is "living the dream" tonight! Ever since she was 5 years old she's wanted to be a leader of the Brahmadoras; this evening she earned a spot on the Officer's Squad!
