** Picture of the Day 3 **

These classic Universal Monsters were part of my youth at my local theaters Saturday Matinees.

They were located in the Williams of Hollywood Prop Shop.

Silverton and Durango Narrow Gauge Railroad at departure point north of Durango; sadly, in 2018 hot cinders from the coal-burning engine ignited a huge fire along the tracks spreading into the sixth-largest fire in Colorado history

One year ago tonight DGD gave her Salutatorian speech to a very limited crowd; each graduate was limited to 4 guest and each group sat 6 feet apart in the stands. Tonight graduation was held to a full crowd...IN A RAINSTORM! The ceremony was rushed and parts cut out but each grad "got to walk". We watched from the safety of our home, thankful even more for last years limited, but complete, ceremony. 👩‍🎓 (Sure wish we could have been there in person for our "adopted granddaughter", high school BFF of DGD 💞):

More graduation memories from last year...DGD and her BFF...#2 and #3 in their class (with BFF's sister coming in at #1 :goodvibes I love the way she could "pick me out" in the stands and see I was taking a picture of them!

We're remodeling and having to do a lot of "clearing" shelves, bookcases, etc. Today I found a paper written by our youngest daughter in, maybe, the 6th grade. It was about her first trip to Disney World when she was 3 years old and she commented that this parade was one she remembered well. We stayed at the Poly that year and she remembers how every night she'd pull us out to the beach to see the "lights on the water"! :goodvibes :tink:

One more graduation memory, one of my favorites! 💞 In just 2 DAYS this group will invade Disney World to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary! AND enjoy DGD's "graduation trip" that was cancelled last year! 💞
