Picture Extravaganza: Are you Kidanied out?

I went May 27-31 - another spontaneous trip to WDW. And scored again. I'm telling you people the nearing check-in finds are fabulous. You have no idea what you're missing. BWV, my lovely BW, in a standard studio. Another underrated find. I adore the front lawn of the BW. So peaceful....

Okay, off track. Kidani. Went twice. I'm that kind of vacationer. Love doing nothing. Hanging out, having a drink, a nap, go to other resorts, read in a hammock. And by the way there must be a lot of wives missing - or maybe they're not really "missing" - their husbands. Cause during the day when I just do nothing there seems to be a lot of men doing nothing as well. Just an observation.

I guess I was a tad obsessed with this window. Very obsessed.

It really is beautiful. But I'm like that with windows and architecture. I could just eat spectacular buildings. Yes, I'm strange.

A lovely room to relax and do nothing. A "Lisa" room.

Facing the Savanna

I adore rocking chairs. Sit in them for hours at FW's Trail's End porch, Hall of President's porch, BW's porch, and Tony's "oh the people watching loveliness" porch. You get the picure. I know my porch locations...and hammock locations. Beyond lazy. And loving it! Well, I do work out too. Just relax in between.

And here is where I'm vulnerable enough to show how strange I really am. I found myself taking pictures in a Kidani washroom. Crazy.

I took four!!!!!!!

And did have a moment where I thought "uh oh I've really lost it now. I'm in washroom at WDW taking vacation pictures".

But I adored that sink. Adored it.

the Kidani washroom - No, wait. Crap is it bathroom? Is that the Canadian word? You never say bathroom in the States? What do you say restroom? Yes, it's a miracle I keep my mental health.

Anyway, I'm now off to break in to the Kidani outdoor facilities - I bought this hat for such icognito endeavours.

So I got in and was completely mesmirized by the workout room. Lovely.

At the top you overlook the play area - with the dancing water -

And there is a lovely hot tub -

My camera - yes it was my camera's fault - missed the boy going down. But here's the slide -

And one of my favourite, oh how my fingers slow down on Canadian spellings, pictures of the entire trip. Funny how simple ones are often the best, eh?

Well, on I go. I have a championship lacrosse game at 5:30 and then - oh then - tonight Lakers taking game two. So until then. Stopping for food of course. Disboards - food. Food!!!!

We will be at Jambo in a week, a no park stay, so I'm looking forward to doing my own exploring of Kidani. Thanks for the preview!!

So relaxing.....

So for food - because one must have food. They have two choices. The bar menu -

And the private dining menu:

We decided on the private dining. You phone it in from the bar. And here is what amuses me to no end. I was not supposed to be in this area. It's key programmed for Kidani guests. And we go to order and they want our room number. So I'm honest - I say "here's my BW room number" and they take it and place our order to eat where we're not even supposed to be hanging out there. I hope I'm not offending anyone. Well, really - I don't think I care. . But I found that totally amusing.

So we waited for our food. Drinks. Nothing like drinking at WDW. A second mortgage but still a lovely way to pass the time.

It took less time then they said. And look at the size of the Bento box. . I lived in Japan for awhile. Only in North America (and at WDW) could it be THAT big.

It was delicious.

Okay, I'm off. Food is calling.

Muusuka! Good to see you. I have an architect on my WISH thread and she thinks I'm absolutely nuts.

Yes, I was at BW. Last minute decision. Birthday weekend. Well it became a five day weekend. Funny how that happens.

We're still at AKV. Heading over to Jambo.

Got soaked on the way over. But went out to the Savanna and saw this -

So I stopped and sat. There is the beauty of WDW. Stopping and taking everything in.

I amused myself - since I spend a lot of time alone at WDW - by taking my own picture.

And I sat under the umbrella to stay kind of dry for at least an hour - probably more.

Really peaceful and beautiful.
