I have no interest of this location either. I find the AKL location more appealing. Heard a new comment from a Disney management CM today that the AKL villas will happen before the Contemporary and they will be built to the left of the existing resort.

That's interesting! Is that the side of their delivery/service area?

If you are standing in front looking at the resort to the left. That the building would be free standing like VWL and BCV and attached to that side of the resort by walkways, similiar to VWL.

He said it would be near that area of the drive that is a dead end as your coming into the property.

Which would me the concierge level construction is probably just for models only ... I just hope there are Savannah views ... but, they'd prolly have to build more of them, exclusive to the DVC side.

We were chatting with the valets at the Contemporary while there last week and I commented that while I find $7.00 very reasonable, I did enjoy the free valet at our DVC resorts.

They told me in 2 years we would be able to have free valet service there also since they would be replacing the North wing with a DVC resort.

I for one LOVE the 15 stories all compact in one buliding instead of being spread out all over the place. And just imagine what those views will be like from up there................

I just saw a picture of the proposed (back in the 70's) Asian Resort. This was as close to a sure thing as possible. Even the road near it was named Asian Way until the Grand Floridian was built!

I hope this doesn't happen to CRV.

i just don't see disney putting up a hotel like that. It is just not disney. looks to commercial. will believe when i see it. not saying there won't be something there but the 15 story thing. i doubt it

They already have something large (tall) and commercial looking, it's called the contemporay...........

Well, I didn't think I would have any interest in VCR when it was just a rumor a couple years ago, but now that I have seen multiple pictures of the building, I KNOW I wont want to stay there! It has ZERO appeal to me.

Come'on Diane, be adventureous!

Not the least bit interested in waking up to a view of the MK? Or being able to sit on your balcony and see the fireworks? What if they pipe the music into your room!?
