Pics of the Concierge family staterooms on the wonder?

It's been 2 years and You were kind enough to allow me and my kids visit your 1 bedroom even though you had visitor friends.

I did not pay for the upgrade and was beyond ecstatic about the stateroom.

We enjoying meeting you too :)

That is so awesome!!! I'm so glad to hear that you got that surprise!! I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back. :)

I had read when they made the announcement that those who booked prior would be able to enjoy the upgraded trappings of the room but not get any of the perks like the lounge and such. Not sure if that will really be the case or not though until some people report back! :magnify:

That's what I had (and have) read also. The cabins will be the upgraded concierge furnishings but unless it was booked as a concierge status the guests will not get use of the lounge or other concierge perks.

Based on discussions on other social media sites, DCL contacted a few people booked in those rooms and gave them a full upgrade to include all concierge services.

We are one of those who got a full upgrade. There was so much confusion - I didn't even know about the change until I saw it one day when I logged in to DCL. I immediately called to see how much it was to upgrade to get full concierge services as that it what we wanted to do. We were told by three CM's that we were fully upgraded....two weeks later a different CM told us we didn't have the full benefits. Needless to say this went on for a few weeks - we finally got a call saying we had all the benefits....however we are traveling with two other non-concierge cabins as this is their first cruise..so we will be hanging back with them. At the end of the day we didn't care either way as we are going on a Disney cruise!!

We stayed in one in June. It was just so over the top nice!! But I really didn't take many pictures of the room. Here is one though - you can see the front door and front hall area (off that hall is the second bedroom with a bunk bed and a twin bed, with its own bathroom). There is a pull-out sofa across from the TV shown, and to the right of this picture is the dining table and wet bar. And then the master bathroom/walk-in closet and huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub are in there. I'll try to find more pictures but I think this might be it - I was too excited about the scenery!

That is really awesome of them! I hope you have a great time!

Does anyone know which staterooms were changed? We are booked in 8074 on the Magic in February. Online it lists the room as Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah.

I dont know the exact room numbers but it was the family oceanview rooms with verandah that are connecting to the one bedroom Cat T suites. I think it was around 10 or so rooms.

No, this is not one of the staterooms being changed. The rooms changing on the Magic are,
8524, 8024, 8044, 8050, 8076, 8082, 8084, 8544, 8550 and 8584.

Bummer! When I transferred our cruise in Jan. to the WBTA, I guess we forfeited our likely only chance to have a concierge room since the room we were in was one of the newly converted concierge rooms on the Wonder! Oh well...what a great dusting of Pixie dust for those who have them!pixiedust:

Thank you both for the information! I was just curious and it dawned on me that we were booked in the Family oceanview room with veranda. I am just really excited to go on our first Disney cruise in February.

Excuse my ignorance regarding Cat V Magic Class.

I haven't been following closely the Cat V developments on the Magic Class.

Is the bedding configuration known yet?

Is it true that all these conversion Cat 4's rooms to cat V's had accommodations for 5 pax?
Actually, I know that answer. Yes. But , ....

Will all the new Cat Vs have capacity for 5 pax in the same bunks?
IOW, will DCL rework the bunks?

I'm betting they will. They will eliminate one berth just like they did on the Dream Class.
The murphy will be removed. A double/full couch pull out will be installed.
And a berth will be eliminated on purpose. :crazy2:

Great for veranda access, not so great for separate independent bed access for multi family units traveling.

Could capacity go to six, ... with a double pull out couch, leaving the murphy? ... Possibly.

In the old/now config Cat 4; you have Queen, Bunk, Couch, Murphy = 5 pax. So 5 pax with 4 beds.

In the Dream Class Cat V's they have ; Queen, Bunk, Double pull Couch. So 5 pax with 3 beds.

Just an observation.

IOW's, a Cat 4 may have more bunks than a Cat V regardless of vessel now.

Dream Class cat 4's may have more berths than a cat V.

These facts are not well known unfortunately.

I can only hope the berths are not reduced in the Cat V's on the Magic Class.

Good Luck to All

The description on DCL's website for the stateroom does say double couch with upper berth. We were also disappointed cuz we also booked stateroom originally for the bed options. However, extremely happy that it's a concierge now.
