Ah, I always wondered what "white wall" meant - I was imagining the walls between the veranda's and couldn't figure out what the alternative was.

I was never in the market for a veranda room, so didn't bother to research further. ;)

Thanks for the picture!

The walls are high enough you have to stand at the rail to see the ocean. When the walls are Plexiglas on top, you can sit on the sofa or the bed and see the ocean. The rooms with Plexiglas are also mid-ship so you don't feel the motion of the ocean as much.

Here is another pic, this one from the Magic. On the deck plans you can tell which cabins have the solid walls as they are marked with an *. They are all aft. On the Magic and Wonder the white walls are waist high but on the Dream/Fantasy they are only about shin high with the tops plexi so you can see out while sitting.

We actually do not mind the solid wall verandahs. Some of them are deeper than regular mid ship verandahs so you get a bit more room out there. This is due to the structure of the ship toward the rear of the ship.

thanks for the great pics they were very helpful

now I have something else to think about

Had one of those on a VGT cabin assignment for the Magic, could not see the ocean sitting on the veranda, and I am six-one.

HAHA! Me too! I thought it meant the wall BETWEEN the cabins.

Yay! We have a midship verandah! After seeing the pic of that white wall, I was hoping our cabin had plexiglass.

Here is a screen shot of the aft of Deck 6 on the Magic. As you can see the *'s mark the cabins with the solid white wall verandahs. They are aft of the Navigator Verandahs. They are on decks 5, 6, 7 & 8 (on Deck 8 they are aft of the 4B's) of the Magic/Wonder.
