The gel washes out very easily in the shower. The hardest part for us was getting all the pixie dust out. We were worried about whether or not it should go down the drain. I ended up brushing the pixie dust out of the girls hair and then vacuuming up the floor when I was done.

The pixie dust is held in with LOTS of hairspray.
