Seriously though, that pic really doesn't show anything different.

I know it doesn't but it's the most recent picture of that building for the coaster

Thanks for the pic!!! I feel like this is taking forever. I don't get why it takes so long to build!!! Ahhhh anxious!!!

I think there are several reasons:

1. It was the late addition to the plans so it got a later start then everything else.

2. It's rumored they hit a design snag with the swaying ride vehicles which delayed the start.

3. Unlike Mermaid and BatB areas, guests can walk completely around it, so it has to be themed on all sides.

4. Since it's in the middle of Fantasyland, when the rest of it opens, they are going to be limited on what they can do during park hours.

I'm just so impatient!! Haha thanks for the reply!!

I agree with you on all of that and it all makes sense that it would take that long because of it and I heard it was because of the safety of the swaying ride cars but I never took into consideration them having to do details on all the sides

...I kinda missed the train on this one... (hehe, get it, 'train?') but are there any dates to when this ride will be ready? It seems so cool! I love Snow White! :)

I thought the thinking was early/mid 2014 instead of the late 2013 that was originally mentioned.... :confused3

Did I miss something?

Everything I have heard from the very beginning is first quarter of 2014 for it to open. If testing goes well, I really wouldn't be surprised to see it open in late 2013. I have no idea where the 2015 dates are coming from. Based on the progress so far, even with Disney's pace of construction, I don't see why it wouldn't be done in early 2014 at the latest.

I thought so as well??

I can I find no referance anywhere to a 2015 opening ,can anyone link to one or is this just pure speculation because of the lastest delay in construction

It's always been 2014. I personally believe it will end up being late 2014 early 2015 for multiple reasons

To Summarize

Disney has said nothing but 2014

I am guessing late 2014 early 2015.

Does that clear things up?

No, that doesn't really clear anything up. There's no way it's going to take them over 2 years to complete that new coaster. No doubt it will be open by summer 2014, if not sooner. Also, a number of websites posted a late 2013 opening date for Snow White's Mine Train when it was first revealed to be a part of the new Fantasyland expansion and then the recent Disney verbage on their pod cast blog pushed the date back to early 2014.

except this is cutting edge engineering

no doubt there will be some technical issues, hopefully they get resolved quickly

the schedule would account for troubleshooting.... so yes if the technical issues get resolved quickly a late 2013 IS possible
