Could someone please point me in the right direction for (inside/outside) photos of the Balcony/ Non-Balcony (2nd floor) rooms at the Poly CL (Hawaii)? I'm confused about the rooms that don't have a balcony, what is there?

Also, it's me, MH and our almost 3 yr old. I know they can't guarantee, but which would you suggest requesting if you had the option? I would like to have the balcony for MH and I to sit on when my son is sleeping but I worry about him too. Are the doors heavy? He learned how to open our sliding glass door at home and I've been a nervous wreck about it since.

Thanks!

First floor has a patio.
Second floor has a juliet balcony, when you open the slider there are bars right at the threshold. It's kind of like a really big sliding window.
Third floor has the traditional balcony.

I don't know how heavy the sliders are but there is an extra device to prevent it from opening on the non-working side. You could use both locking systems to keep your child in the room.

I would not call the 2nd floor rooms at the Poly a Juliet balcony. There is no room to step out. Juliet balconies are like those small ones at the Beach Club where you can walk out but there is no room for furniture or really more than one person at a time. The Poly has a mock balcony. Looks like a balcony but is really just a sliding door.

I would not worry about the lock. There is a 2nd lock up high. A small child would need a chair to reach it.

Aw well, I think my description matches what you just said. I just used the wrong term.

Have you looks at the Resorts Pictures thread for the Poly? Or asked someone in the Poly thread if they have any pics? Lots of info in either of those.

Here is an outside photo. You will notice that the railing is just like the railing for the balcony on the 3rd floor but it is right up against the building. So when you open the sliding doors, instead of stepping out to the balcony you are still in the room.

Honestly I did not mind these rooms at all. When we have had balconies the big black birds were always on it. We loved second floor at Hawaii, CL because the lounge is on the 2nd floor. It was so easy to access the lounge.
