We started to make our shirts tonight! I did the first 9 for Ashton, my 9 year old son. In total we're going to have 10 each, with both fronts and backs!!

I just want to say thanks again to all of the designers that helped me so much to make our trip fabulous!!

Here are the pics of round 1:

They look so good!!

They look great.

I want to know how you cut them out so well - especially the circles and the pirates earring - please help as I am about to make some...

Also, did you use Amy's transfers or others?

Wow! Those look amazing!

I'm so nervous about trying to make my shirts! What brand of transfer paper did you use?

Cute! I LOVE the Pirate 2012 and would love to steal that image from you! ;)

I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a paper slicer - it was 12 dollars and I used a 40% off I printed online - for the straight edges. For the circles, I bought an exacto-type knife - again from Hobby Lobby for about 8 dollars I think - that has a loop in it to put your finger in and stabilize it. It worked GREAT!! I'll try and take a picture of it and post it with the next round!

The pirate heads were from Marion (RustManFan)... actually Marion did a lot of my designs! (Thank You! :goodvibes!) I got the other pirate design from Linda (shadowryter) along with a ton of others from her too (Thanks so much! :)). Other disigners that helped me a TON were Mandy (absolut_mandy), Amy (M_i_C_K_E_Y), and marneb (Sorry! I never saw your name posted!!).

I used Amy's transfer papers for all of them and they are the BEST!! I totally recommend them!

The whole process is a lot more intimidating than it seems! I did my first one for my son and nephew's birthday (I posted a pic on Amy's thread since she made the designs)... They went great!! Once I got through with the first one, I couldn't wait to continue them! I only have my 10, one of Aidan's, and two of Chris' left.... I'll try to post the pics of the ones that are done later tonight!

Only 4 more left to make!!!

Okay two things I gotta know..who did your "Ocean Wonders Disney Y.E.S program" design and the "Drinking around Epcot" design! I love them both. We are also doing the Y.E.S program in August. The drinking around Epcot shirt is perfect for my DH.

These are amazing. I had some name fills and other stuff made for us for our cruise. I made them into magnets. After looking at this I want to make shirts for our group (10 of us). I saw that you said something about Amy's transfer or something like that. Can you give me more information on this? We are leaving in a few weeks so I'd need to get started immediately. I am completely clueless as to how you'd take a design and put it on a shirt.

Thank you so much!

Sari

Sari I'll PM you the website as I know I we can't post it here. I have bought from Amy several times. Her iron-ons are great.

Thank you so much! Is it hard to do?

No I didn't think it was hard. My husband has a really steady hand so I had him cut out all my designs. Although I may look into that Knife Halloween Baby posted. I made about 10-15 shirts last year. Probably won't make as many this time. The dark transfers that Amy sells can be used on white/light shirts not just dark. My friends family went with us last year and her shirts weren't nearly as nice and I know it was due to the iron ons. The only problem I had with them was the edges peeling up after several washes, but this was probably due to me not leaving the iron on long enough.

Can you please pm the website too? I tried to have some T-shirts made at some sports store and they all saying no because copyright reasons..... I need to make 2 DISigns for 23 pals (YEP, our group is that big :-O) and I little bit worry about doing myself, but I dont see other option!!!

The Y.E.S. program design was done by Linda (shadowryter). She's amazing about designing exactly what you're dreaming up! :stir:

I can't remember where I got the drinking around the world design but I want to say it was Marion (RustManFan) that had it. I didn't get it personalized, so I didn't keep track of it... sorry. I know Marion has a ton of Epcot designs so you may want to check there!

The shirts are MUCH easier than it seems when you first get into it. It's very overwhelming!! If you order through Amy, she provides step by step instructions that were great!! Once you have the design and the transfer paper you just print it up. I left it overnight to set (as Amy's instructions said to do) then cut them out and peeled off the back. The you put the design face up on the shirt, cover it with the parchment paper (also provided by Amy if you go through her), and iron for a couple seconds. I did as Amy suggested and went horizontally across the design, then vertically, then in a circular motion, but all in all only spend a couple seconds total on the design. Can you tell I have nothing but great things to say about Amy and her products! :thumbsup2

Let me know if Holt pmed the site to you. If not, I can!! :goodvibes
