Just wanted to show you the shirts we made with kate's design. We had a character lunch with Leo, June, JoJo & Goliath. Leo and June loved the shirts!

Those are so cute. I love the picture with the character you posted. Hope you had a great time.

Gorgeous shirts, Mommy! :thumbsup2

How did you do the transfer on both the front and back? I was attempting to do that for my daughter (actually, for a project other than a Disney trip!) amd I was having trouble with one "melting" while I was doing the other side. Did you place something inside the shirt? If so, what?

Thanks for your help and thanks for sharing your beautiful children having fun at WDW with their shirts!

Doing a two-sided shirt is pretty simple. I iron on the first side as normal and let it cool a bit. I then take a piece of plywood (around 14" x 14") and carefully wrap it with a rag-bag T-Shirt. (The instructions with my iron-ons say to use a pillowcase but old cotton T-Shirts are plentiful in my house). Anyway, carefully put that wrapped plywood piece inside the T-Shirt you're working on and iron on your second design. The plywood will prevent the heat from soaking through the side you're working on and damaging the first side and the T-Shirt softens the plywood surface and doesn't allow the woodgraining to affect the iron-on.

Another way to do both sides is to put your wooden cutting board on your ironing board -

this way the already ironed side will not be against the counter -

since I do an ironing marathon - my counter is sometimes still warm and messes up the desing - when I put it on my ironing board - I don't have to worry about the other side being against anything!

Your shirts look AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Your shirts look wonderful!

Great shirts & adorable kids..thanks for posting...I love the 2 sides!!

Your shirts are sooo cute! As are your children! I hope they enjoyed the characters! I was wondering did you use transfer paper for dark colors? So that the white stayed white? Thanks! :thumbsup2

Love your shirts! The designs is terrific, of course ;) but you did a great job making them. Thanks for sharing your pictures.

I used the dark transfer paper from the ebay seller that julia&nicks mom recommends. It has worked awesome for me. I have washed several times and it still looks great.

All- I do want to thank you for your kind words about the shirts and my kids. You guys truly inspire me. I'm already planning shirts for our next trip in December!

Great Shirts! I really would LOVE to borrow that design!!

I do double sided by sticking a phone book in the middle.

I got the design from Julia&Nicks Mom. She does some great work! You'll see her link above.
