Pics of my Peonies

What a great slideshow!!!! Especially the looking up at the flower with the sky and clouds in the background, and the peony with the yellowjacket in it!!! Great pics.

Wow. They are gorgeous. How many bushes do you have? How do you get them so hardy???

Glad you liked the slideshow:blush:
I have 3 bushes. The big pink bush is the oldest. They've followed me from house to house but originally came from my sisters 18th century garden on LI. When we moved here it was a hot day in August. They came off the truck & were plopped down next to the garage in the shade. Finally I scratched away a hole right there and stuck them in it.That was 5 yrs ago.
The other 2 are very small. I was surprised I even got flowers from them at all.

They are thriving. Even the yellowjacket enjoys them. Thanks for posting them.

Ignore them :rotfl: No kidding I don't do anything to them except deadhead.

Very pretty, wish I had flowers like those.
You should be able to grow them. They're very easy. :flower:

Beautiful peonies. I like your white columbine, and I think I saw some centaurea at its feet. Looks very nice against the white fence. What variety is the pale lavender single peony? I haven't seen any that look exactly like it...it's really fascinating.
Have you tried any tree peonies yet? They're really easy, too.

Thank you, glad you liked them. Yes, that is centaurea, Montana? maybe. I have it popping up all over ::yes::Columbine too everywhere :flower:
I have no idea what variety that peony is.Sorry. I'm very good at planting with labels and then losing them in the soil, mulch or raking them away. I seem to recall it was a German name, Karl something I think :confused3 I'm thrilled it bloomed anyway. Never tried tree peonies. Don't know that they would do well here in NJ.
