Hi there....
We've stayed at the GC before, but have always had theme park view.
Trying something different this time, and getting DTD view.
Can you share any pictures of the different locations and views, please??

Thanks!! :thumbsup2

We didn't take pics but we had DTD view. We loved it!!! We looked over Napoli and it was great.

We had a corner 2 bedroom suite last June so we looked into the Magic Kingdom from the balcony off the living room and walked around the corner to the balcony off the master bedroom and looked into CA and from the living room balcony and 2nd bedroom balcony we looked down on Downtown Disney. I took pictures of the Magic Kingdom (great fireworks location) and CA but not Downtown Disney. We were right above The Disney Store and next to the bakery - far end of the hotel so we saw the trams going to the parking garages and the plaza between the Magic Kingdom & CA. GREAT location - the sounds from Downtown Disney float up to your room and the yummy smells from the bakery also did :lmao:

Looking sideways left then right. If you were to look straight ahead there would be a building in DTD and then above that at night would be fireworks. If you open your balcony door at night you can also hear the musicians that perform and watch the parade of people.

Yeah!! This is the view I booked... was keeping my fingers crossed for a surprise upgrade to theme park view... but if I don't get it, I would be thrilled with this view... thanks for the pics!

Awesome pics CoolPool!! Thank you!

I didn't realize the rooms were that close to DTD. Are they all that close? (I think that's a good thing, btw, not a bad thing) and were you on the top floor?
Can almost every balcony see the fireworks?

Thanks. This is my favorite view because I really like to be in the room for the fireworks and not in the crowds. Thats just a subjective thing with me. I've stayed DTD view 3 times now and every room had a view of the fireworks.

I remember being told once at the front desk that "DTD view" does not guarantee "fireworks view" but if there are rooms that don't (in fact) have a view of the fireworks then they must be very, very few of them - maybe around a corner at the end or something like that.

This particular room was above the Disney Store and was accessed through the elevators by Napa Rose. I've also stayed in the DTD rooms that are accessed from the main elevators in the lobby. Both locations are fine. Maybe a slight nod to the Napa Rose side just because we could see how many people were lined up at the security tents before we went down. A little "crowd check" perk.

If I remember correctly this view was from the lowest floor on the DTD side. Is that 3rd or 4th? I believe they go up to 6th floor? I'm not that picky really so I don't pay enough attention.

*Disclaimer: this is not the quietest location so if you really want serenity even when you open your balcony door then you should not book this room.

We stayed on the 5th floor with a DTD view and loved it. We watched the fireworks from the balcony with the television playing the music to the show. It was great to be away fighting the crowds. We are going to do it again in October.
