I would like to see some pics of the deluxe rooms at CR. When you price them it is only a 2-300 difference for a week than a standard view garden wing room. So is there a lot more room?, how is the layout--pretty comfortable? I know one drawback is not having 2 beds just a kingsize and daybed. We are a family of 4 but my skinny 5 year old will probably sleep with us in the kingsize and our teenager on the daybed is what I am thinking. And then also the deluxe rooms are all on the bottom floor with a patio (i think)... I would love to see some pics if anyone has any b/c I am trying to make a decision on this.... Thanks

This doesn't really answer your question, but the last time we were there we stayed in a Garden wing room at CR that had a patio that lead right to the lake. It was absolutely beautiful, quiet, and we had a great view of the Electrical Water Pageant at night. If it were up to me, I probably couldn't justify the extra cost.

Whatever you decide, you'll have fun! pixiedust:

Thanks for the pics. It looks pretty roomy. I wonder if anyone has slept on the daybed and if they thought it was comfortable enough for a teen. Any more pics?

You're welcome and those are the only pictures I have seen of them, however if I find anymore I will let you know.

The weird thing about this room is, as you can see in the pics, the TV can only be viewed from the bed. The room is sort of L shaped with the bed tucked into one end of the L and the sitting area tucked into the other so you can't watch TV while sitting on the sofa or chair. There seems to be a lot of room but it is all in the middle of the space which isn't used.

It is just a really awkward layout. Don't get me wrong we love it because it is a tradition for us to stay there but it is a weird kind of room, really more for a couple without kids I think. Another thing is there are two doors to the bathroom and neither one has a lock. Just another thing that makes it less than ideal for a family.

There are only three rooms of this type, one on each floor So you would have only one chance of getting a ground floor room.

we booked the deluxe room for this may...does the room have a separate shower and tub or is it a combo like the regular rooms. The description made it sound like the bathrooms are bigger. Anyone have any more pics????

I don't think they will allow a family of four to book a room with only a king bed and daybed. The maximum occupancy is three, plus one child under 3.

It offered me this room when I checked prices for our August trip, I put in for 2 adults and 2 kids, why would it offer this room if it only sleeps 3? do they give you a cot for the 4th person?

Yes, I just booked this room for 1 adult and 3 kids 12, 10 and 3. I am a little worried now that we will be three in 1 bed. Anyone know how this turned out. Is the day bed actually a queen sleeper sofa?

My family and I had this room back in May 2010. It is an incredible room. There is one area with a king size bed and 1 slider (door but not a balcony) then the tv moves also so you can see from bed of sitting area. The sofa bed is probably a double bed. I don't think it is a queen. 2 people can sleep in it. My DD (14) slept on it with plenty of room. There is another slider in the sitting area. We LOVED this room!!!

The deluxe room doesn't have a daybed like the regular room. It is an actual sofa that fold out into a bed. The room is odd shapped kinda like an L.

Great. Thanks for the info. Does Mousekeeping come back and open / make up the sofa bed each day automatically, or do you need to call or do it yourself?

Yes, Mousekeeping comes every day and does turndown service. They leave mints/choc on the pillows. They make it up when they do the regular housekeeping. It is really a great room. We actually relaxed in the room alot on that trip.

Turn Down Service at the Contemporary is only for the guests staying Club Level on the 12th and 14th floors, not for the Deluxe Rooms.

We received turn down service our entire stay in the garden deluxe room in May. I asked the first night when they knocked on the door. I was told my mousekeeping that the deluxe room is included for turndown service as is the other suites in the garden section. My daughter loved the choc with the contemporary hotel on the wrapper.

Wonderful!! Thanks for the info everyone. I haven't told the boys that we are in a 'special' room yet. I want to surprise them. However, I am not very good at not telling them my WDW plans...
