PM me with you email address and I can send you two pictures. I don't know how good they are.

It will be this evening before I can do this. The pictures are on my home PC.

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott DTD in June. We had a very nice and pleasant stayed. They were very friendly, treated us nicely. They had the managers reception in the early evening with drinks, nachos and popcorn. The pool was sufficient for us, but not themed. My girls just like to splash around and don't care much about the theming. They did seem to be doing some tile work in the back hallway and had cones up with caution tape roping this area off, but it didn't bother us. We had a room with a balcony that overlooked the pool.

I have never posted pictures before, but I am going to try:

Would you stay there again? Has anyone been able to get the rate of 20.03 still?

Thanks

my inlaws got the rate first week in december, but they called the hotel directly.

Really appreciate the pics!!! Getting closer to our trip and getting excited!!

Our room was in the tower we did not have a Balcony.

I would stay there again in a heartbeat if I could get the $20.03 rate. Even the $39 rate would be worth it.

To MaggieW,

We're going to Courtyard DTD in Dec. Glad to hear you liked it. Were you able to walk to DTD? How easy is it? Someone (a travel agent who was trying to talk me out of this hotel because it wasn't one she worked with), said you have to cross a busy highway to get to DTD and it could be dangerous with small children.

Also, what was it like to eat there? Specifically, I mean how expensive? Do you remember how much the breakfast buffet cost and was it worth it? Were there eateries there that didn't cost an arm and leg? Our last trip to WDW we stayed at the Polynesian. Nice place but not worth the price. The food was outrageous! I spent $6 for an apple and small carton of milk. I do like to eat in fine restaurants as part of my vacation experience, but I don't want to drop a weeks pay every time I put food in my mouth.

Did you have a room with a view and could you see the fireworks from there?

I got the $20.03 rate. I'm probably worrying too much (that I'll get what I pay for) but it is a Marriott and I've always been pleased with them.

Thanks for your help!

OK, My room was fine. I went thru it with a FINE tooth comb since I kept reading the paniced requests on here.

As I recall there were two problems in the room. One the wallpaper by the sliding door was a little loose. (I think that may have happened because a LOT of guest probably leave the door open in that room it opened onto the pool!) The other was the fawcett on the sink was a little loose and hard to adjust right (nothing a screwdriver would not fix, but on a one night stay I did not cause maintenance!)

The TV is a little small for my taste. The room is HUGE. There was plenty of room for a crib in the room. The decor is kind of basic, but Courtyard is a business hotel and it fits their normal theme.

I think it was about a 10 minute walk to DTD, but I may walk faster then you (no kids or family members with me!) There is NO busy highway. You just cross one major road, but Disney has it well done. They have well lit crosswalks and don't allow turns on red when people are suppose to be crossing.

My room looked pretty much like the one above. (I cannot figure out how to post the photo!) The bath had a sink outside the tub/toliet area so one person could dry their hair etc. while someone else showered.

I did not eat there so I can't respond to that question. I know that they were having a happy hour in the bar with free food in the evening but did not come back from Epcot for that.

Since this was my third stay I guess that reponds to the would I stay there again question. For thier rack rates, probably not (for that much money I am going to a Disney moderate) However, for their discount rates you can't beat it!

vhoffman,

Sorry I can't help you much with your specific questions. We didn't eat at the hotel and we didn't walk to Downtown Disney. But not because the food didn't look good or the walk was too far. We had a car and stopped at DTD on our way back from a day shopping at the outlet malls.

I don't know about Courtyard's breakfast buffet, but I did research on the Grosvenor breakfast which is across the street. Their breakfast has Disney characters (A Sherlock Holmes-like Goofy and Pluto). It cost $12.95 for adults and $5.95 for children (4-9). But, you can get a $25 gift certificate from restaurant.com for $12.50. This can be used at the breakfast (I called and asked the restaurant about this. But I haven't tried it personally yet.). So pretty much its like getting the adults Buy one get one free and then you just pay for the kids. This breakfast is only T, Th, S. (You can only use one restaurant.com gift cert. per restaurant per month).

The view from our room was of the pool (see the picture above. it was taken from our balcony).

Don't worry too much about your choice. You will have a great time! Try and focus on what a great deal you got and how much fun you can have with the money saved!

We stayed there in May. The room looked like the pictures. We were in the tower and had a balcony. We ate the breakfast buffet every morning - not sure of the cost as ours was included with the room. I think it's around 8 or 9 dollars. It was good! We had no problems with the room and the staff was very friendly. We walked to Downtown Disney every day. It can easily be walked in 10 minutes. It's a nice walk and the crosswalk seemed very safe. We're going back in Sept.
