Picnic in the Park?

Has anyone recently done Picnic in the Park at AK? Is it operating now? I read we can place our order at Guest Relations. Do you know how early we can place the order? I was hoping we could place the order at 8am, when we got to the park for for early entry. I was also wondering how early we could pick up the food.

We did the PIP last May and it was great! We placed our order at a kiosk right in the entrance to AK when we got there (around 9-10am) and it was ready for pickup in Africa by 1. We sat right outside a pavillion in Africa and there was live entertainment at the time and it was really good food. WE got the half chicken and sides. The kids even ate most of the food (I have pickey eaters). I say give it a try once! I am not sure how early you can place your order but we did it pretty early in the day for a lunch time pick up.

Yes, I also did it in 2009, but I was at AK a few weeks ago (on three different days) and although I looked, I didn't see anything about Picnic in the Park. Is it being offered now?
