Does anyone know if it's still around - and if they will be doing this service during September? I tried doing a search for this - but came up with only older information.

No, sorry it is no longer offered.

Early in 2010 they listed it as seasonal, however it was never offered since then.

You can get the sandwiches and cold sides at one of the CS places, but the hot items are long gone.

The pre-order and pick-up later program...canceled a long time ago.

Beastly Bazaar sells grab and go cold items if you want to do your own picnic.

Thanks for that info! We'll be doing Donald's Safari Breakfast (I probably totally butchered that) and will probably want something fast a bit later. I hate trying to figure out what to eat at AK - this makes it easy.

as much as I loved the idea of having the Picinic in the Park, when we got it, It was an absolute mess !

We ended up having to go sit in the Pizzafari to have somewhere to even get all the mess out of the bag. It just did not work out well for us :(

that is too bad we had it 2 sept ago and it was our favorite lunch> I was hoping to do it this year again.

We loved this experience, it's too bad it's over.

Sad to hear they do not offer this any longer. We loved it as well the last visit we made. Sometimes finding a cool spot in the shade to eat wasn't easy but nevertheles we enjoyed the food.

We did the picnic in the park last January using the grab and go items from the Beastly Bazaar. The sandwiches were good and my daughter liked having two desserts. The weather was cool so eating outside was not a problem. You do still get the re-usable shopping bag that says "Picnic in the Park". Or at least you did in January.

It sounded like such a nice idea and I am sorry we were never able to do it :rolleyes1

We usually eat at Flame Tree when we are at AK. DD loves the chicken and the out door seating will make it feel like a "picnic".:goodvibes
