I am a huge Walt fanatic, always have been & I am also big on the WDW tours. Keys to the Kingdom, Backstage Magic & Mickey's Magical Milestones were all amazing & I decided a long time ago that I wanted to do the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour once I finally got out to DL. Well this is the year & i'm leaving in 20 days! I saw the food choices for the tour & there is absolutely nothing i'll eat. I'm not sure what to do, I really want to do this tour & i'm also leaning towards the Holiday Tour as well but i'm worried about not being able to eat anything provided. This is driving me crazy, some help would definately be appreciated. TIA!

To me, the little luncheon was just a bonus on top of the tour. It is done after the tour is complete, so technically, you wouldn't even need to join in if you didn't want to.
The lunch picks when we did it (in March this year) were sandwiches....which by the way were very good & filled with meat. It also came with a bag of chips, fresh strawberries & a cookie.
Looking at the prices of the tours.....I'm not really sure you're paying much (if anything) for the lunch.

Great tour....worth it to do, whether you eat or not!!!

I'd just take the tour and get my own lunch afterwards. Lunch was good but not why we took the tour and we could have done without it. We did a tour a few years ago and it is well worth it for Walt Disney fans.

Since you still have a while, you could ask if they have any other options. My daughter has eating issues (both allergy & texture). Anytime we have been in the position of her not being able to eat what was offered, they have been very helpful. We don't ask for a huge difference, just as little change as possibile so they don't have to make her a seperate meal but she can still have something to eat. Once we did the tea at one of the disney hotels, we had usual english tea items. She had a beautiful plate of cheese, meat and veggies. I have a citrus allergy and they have always been very nice about helping with food choices. They even offered to run out and get a dessert for me that I could eat at one place at the WDW resort - of course I passed but what a wonderful thing to offer.

So ask, all they can say is "no, that are all the options".

have a wonderful time!
