In December my Son-In-Law lost is fight with Leukemia a week before we were supposed to go to Disney World. We have rescheduled to go in May adding my brother, Sister-In-Law and my 12 year old nephew. Until this week we believed we could take my daughters step kids but their mother changed her mind and she as a step parent has no rights So here are my questions I need some help. We are about 45 days out and I need to change my adr's. This trip will be emotional for us but I thought it would be okay since we could have the grandkids with us. Now I don't want to go to places we would go with them. So I am looking for suggetions that I can still get reservations that are not our usual places and we have a TIW card for discounts

Our normal places are:
Crystal Palace
Ohanas
Chef Mickeys
Le Cellier
Teppan Edo
Whispering Canyon Cafe

My 12 year nephew is also pretty picky he eats chicken strips, steak, mac and cheese and spaghetti. I am looking for some new table service places that are good. I need meal suggestions for our epcot and magic kingdom day and the evening that we are at the water park so any resort or downtown disney would work. We are eating at Mamma Melrose our DHS days nd will just do counter service at AK.

This is my brother's family first trip and might be there only one he isn't much of a traveler and I want it to be special for them without bringing up too many memories for us.

I'm so sorry!

Maybe Garden Grill at EPCOT - it's a character meal w/ Mickey, Pluto, Chip, & Dale. Since this will be your brother's family's first trip, I think you need a Mickey character meal. The food is served family-style, & the character interaction is normally really good. The restaurant slowly revolves through the "Living w/ the Land' ride as well which is neat - your nephew might enjoy that.

However, I understand if you're trying to avoid character meals since your grandkids are not able to be w/ you.

So, if that's the case, you might consider one of the World Showcase restaurants - maybe San Angel Inn in Mexico? The atmosphere is really neat. Or maybe Biergarten (Germany)? It's a buffet, so everyone should be able to find something to eat. Plus, the atmosphere is really fun w/ live entertainment. You might check out the menus on allears.net.

For your Magic Kingdom day, maybe try to get an ADR at the new Be our Guest restaurant? Or, even though it gets mixed reviews, we like Tony's Town Square - the Lady & the Tramp theme is really cute. your nephew could get spaghetti! ;) We've never really had bad food or service there either. Liberty Tree Tavern might be really good for your family too - the food (traditional "Thanksgiving" fare) is served family-style in a traditional colonial America setting.

Or you could try some place like the Grand Floridian Café at the Grand Floridian.

For your water park day, I bet your nephew would really like T-Rex Café in Downtown Disney! The food is kinda like Applebee's or Chili's, but the atmosphere w/ all the dinosaurs is awesome. My kids love it!

Or, after your waterpark day, you could venture over to the Boardwalk area - maybe the ESPN Grill (at the Boardwalk) or Cape May Café (at the Beach Club). The Boardwalk area is a really neat area at night!

Hope this helps some! And, again, I'm so sorry for your family's loss.

I have be trying multiple times a day for Be Our Guest maybe i will get some pixie dust soon. I have been looking at cape may cafe dinner has anyone been there recently is it still good.

I would double check with an attorney, SOME states have Third Party Visitation Rights vs just Grandparent Visitation Rights, to cover situations like this.

Step Parents can be an active part of a child's life, because they are married to one of their parents. To just cut off a significant relationship like that can sometimes cause more harm than good.

Ohio is one of those who have "Third Party" visitation right....
