Picking up rental car if you arrive in terminal C -

As of December 6, 2022 does anyone have any knowledge as to the process of picking up a rental car from Alamo if you arrive via jetBlue at terminal C? How do you get there with the least hassle?

I am very interested in this topic. I arrived via JetBlue in Terminal C, and had to pick up a Thrifty rental car in Terminal A.
I was told the only way was to WALK through C, walk through B, get the "train" to A, then walk through A. Whole trip, dragging a 49 pound checked bag, carry on, and camera bag, took almost a half hour.
Returning, had to repeat the process. I asked at JetBlue, and before I could even finish my question, I was told, nope, there is no shorter way! This is horrible.

You should have been able to return the car to C. The plan is to start offering rentals at C as they get more vehicles and can properly staff and provision the area. The SW meltdown of the last week is probably going to delay this as many rentals ended up going out one way for people to get home. Until they get the staff and inventory, it is a long walk from baggage claim to the train and then down to one of the other counters.

We arrived in Term C from JetBlue. We rented from Alamo. They have a kiosk there where you can check in and get all your papers. You either have a choice of walking (exactly like carlbarry said) or going outside and getting a shuttle that will take you to the transportation area of Terminal A.
The shuttle took a while to come, then they have to put everyone's luggage in the compartments, then wait for the shuttle to fill up, then it has to drive all the way around the airport while fighting traffic until it unloads at Terminal A.
There you can pick up your car. The shuttle process took about half an hour as well. So it doesn't save any time, but it's very little walking.
We had carry-ons, so it took us a little over an hour from the time we got off the plane until we drive out of the airport in our rental. If we had checked luggage to claim, I'd add another 30-45 minutes.
You can drop your car off at the Terminal C car return. It's a huge parking garage that's not being utilized yet.
Yes, it's a huge inconvenience!

Nope. Thrifty had no provision to return or rent at Terminal C.

Thank you for the information. When I was at Terminal C I was told there was a shuttle, and then I was told there isn't a shuttle! And JetBlue also told me there is no shuttle! When I picked up the car at A, I was told I have to return it there. So there seems to be a real lack of communication.

Nope. Thrifty had no provision to return or rent at Terminal C.

The airport commission says you're incorrect about return. https://www.orlandoairports.net/parking-transportation/rental-cars/ It is however entirely possible that the employee you spoke with at A gave you incorrect information because they don't want to have to move the vehicles from C back to A and B.
There is most certainly a shuttle that takes you from C to B, however I would personally opt to take the APM rather than the shuttle.

I can understand the preference for the APM versus a long wait for the shuttle. However, when I arrived I was dragging a 49 pound bag along with my carry on and camera bag, and that was not a lot of fun dragging through 3 terminals.

We traveled 12/20-12/28 and had an Alamo rental. The process to pick up our rental was frustrating and took an hour! We arrived via Jet blue to terminal C. Alamo has a counter there and told us to go outside to the shuttle which would take us to the rental car. There was SO much traffic it took forever for the shuttle bus to pick us up. Then they loaded all the luggage on the bus and brought us to the rental cars. I understand this is temporary? And there will be rental car pick up soon in terminal C?

The return was seamless. We returned our rental in Terminal C no problem.

It is temporary. I think that depends on how you define "soon." Sixt already has cars at C, probably due to the higher number of European renters they get. The other 9 are going to depend on when they can get enough cars to service C without jeopardizing A and B. MCO on Twitter has been pretty good about keeping updates flowing about where the C transition is.

Even using the APM involved a lot of walking. From returning our car at A/B and getting to our gate at C we logged a tad over 4000 steps using the APM. We have decided that if we are renting a car, we will not fly JetBlue to MCO until cars are available at terminal C. If we are doing a ride share, then fine. It's about the time crunch for us. We do not check luggage and have TSA precheck so the extra 30-40 minutes is a waste of time for us.

I assume that may be a little less crowded than a morning arrival. Figure they can collect luggage and possibly grab something to eat while I take the APM over. I'm not sure if that will save time as I will need to head back to terminal C to pick them up once I have the rental. Can I return my rental at C? I thought I read that somewhere.

All 10 companies are accepting vehicle returns at C. The National Group (National, Enterprise and Alamo) is giving out contracts at a desk in C. Sixt has cars at C.
