Picking up free mugs before checking in, at a resort other than the one where I'm staying

Will this work? The day we check in to POR, we are heading to MK for a BOG PPO ADR at 8am. Can I stop at the Grand Floridian or the Contemporary on our way to MK and pick up our Dining Plan refillable mugs? If so, which pickup locations would be most convenient? Can I scan my band and get the mugs for everyone in the room, or do we all have to scan our bands? If the latter, can I bring the bands and scan them for everyone?

The thing about "Before check-in" is you will need to have used online check-in to be able to do this. One band is all that is needed. If there are any issues with scanning, though, the GF or CR won't be able to help you out.

The only place to get the mug is Gasparilla - the quick service restaurant.

Not sure if you were planning on using your mugs in the parks but they are only refillable at Disney Resorts.

Yep. Seems like a real pain to lug them around the park all day. We travel very light, though. No bags for us.

I'm assuming you're driving to and parking at MK for your ADR? If so, the Poly is walking distance from TTC so is also another option. CR is walking distance from MK.

Maybe it makes sense to wait and pick them up after the MK. Does the Polynesian have mugs with handles?
