Picking up a rental early

I booked a minivan through Dollar a couple of months ago for our October trip. I put the arrival time as 2pm, now we're arriving at 10am. The original rate was a week at $158.99 plus an extra day $29.99. The rate has gone up to $199.99 a week and $39 for the extra day so it will be about $60 more if I change it. I'm still going the have the car for a week plus a day so does it matter if we show up 4 hours early?

I've done it before when the difference was only an hour or so and it never mattered.

I've never had a problem picking up 2.5 hours early when I
flew stand-by. I don't think you'll have a problem as long
as it is the same number of hours. Make certain that they
change your return time, however, when you pick it up.
