Picking Restaurants for two week stay

Thanks for that advice

Only makes sense to do the fantasmic package if it’s only one credit. Why wouldn’t you. Is there other shows like that. That’s only one credit
You can do the Tusker House Rivers of Light package too-that is only 1 credit
Also if you want to do Tonys-you can book the Festival of Fantasy pkg- that is only 1 credit

Do make sure that when you go to book these that you look specifically under the dining package and not under the regular specific restaurant ADR

DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING based on what anyone here says.

You have many choices chosen because you're there for a nice extended stay. No matter where you go, there will be hits and misses( hopefully few). Personally, I think a lot of the misses are simply people's personal tastes and not that it's "bad".
ENJOY and please post how much you enjoyed all of them!

I would swap Tonys for Liberty Tree Tavern (we loved it in November) and Hollywood & Vine with Mama Melrose.

Iv started to look at the menu there it looks really nice

I’ll be honest I never bothered viewing the menu as the name canteen put me off. Just shows you never judge a book by its cover 😂😂

We loved Skipper's Canteen! Great atmosphere and good food! :)

Maybe try the Story Book Dining at Wilderness- gotten mixed reviews and has limited menu but looks to be a neat experience with some good character interaction. We will be trying it in Sept.
Maybe try Chefs De France for a late lunch - I think eating at 6 might keep you full for desert party
We also are on the "not going back to Hollywood and Vine" bandwagon-so I would suggest Mama Melrose HS ( and maybe do the Fantasmic pkg- it's still 1 credit)
We are trying Skippers in MK this trip-my daughter has been there before and really like it- have heard good things
We did not like Ohana( havent been back in many years)
To splurge, try Ca Grill bunch as well as dinner. Even though they are 2 credits each- they would be the two meals that I would recommend. We also love Yachtsman Steakhouse.
There are also some great restaurants in Disney Springs( we're doing Ragland Road, Homecomins and Morimoto) and Epcot -so you might want to look into some others there as well.
We really liked story book dining! The evil queen was amazing and the dwarfs were so fun! I really liked the food as well and if you are on the dining plan the drinks are AMAZING

Hey

Thanks everyone who gave advice, after looking up menus etc I think we are all set and have decided to go with the following places, a few changes

Skippers canteen (was originally Tony town square )
Boma breakfast - paying cash then T Rex
Mama Melrose ( was originally Holly wood and vine)
Chef de France then desert party
Tusker house
The Crystal Palace for lunch and then mickey Christmas party
Sci Fi for lunch - paying cash then house of blues that evening
Another boma breakfast - pay cash
California Grill
Boma dinner
Be our guest lunch - cash then the grand Floridian cafe
Dinner at universal - cash
Ohana
Jeko

Do you guys think we have made a good choice 😁😊😁

Was thinking or doing paradiso 37 or frontera Cocina instead of house of blues. Any advice. That’s the only one I wasn’t to sure on

We also decided to do 2 boma breakfasts instead of one boma and one else where. Just so it doesn’t waste to much time going to another resort etc before the parks. The breakfasts good in boma ?

The vast majority of your choices are not places I've eaten at for a variety of reasons that have to do with my lifestyle so consider this post more a bump than anything else:).

It took until our December 2018 trip to finally eat at Chefs de France and I'm sorry we missed it so frequently in the past. Great brasserie eats and theming and we'll be eating there again in another 2 weeks.

California Grill is a must do for us whether brunch or dinner. The brunch is our one meal for the day normally and so far we've only eaten appetizers at dinner time with the goat cheese ravioli and sushi being particular favorites.

We do 'Ohana or the Twilight Feast when DGD travels with us as it's one of her favorites. Always a fun meal!

Jiko's has wonderful food, service, and atmosphere; I think you'll enjoy your meal.

Since I don't know the pricing of many of the meals you've picked I'm not the one to say what's a good pay out of pocket or not. I'm sure others can help you with that info.

Have fun and enjoy your stay!

That’s good to hear that a few you enjoyed is on our to do list 😁

I would highly recommend looking into the Disney Food Blog they have numerous videos about food at Disney World. It is a great source for getting great restaurant ideas and also snack recommendations. The blog also has videos on tips and tricks to make your trip better. I hope you enjoy your trip!
