Picking a seat on American

If we booked airfare through Disney on American Airlines, can we go and pick out seats afterwards? My husband forgot to get them when we made our reservations for the trip.

Maybe.

Do you have the six-character "record locator"?
Are you a member of American Aadvantage?

If you answered YES to both of those, log on to AA's site. Go to Reservations -> My Reservations. If your reservation is not in the list, go to the bottom of the page and attempt to pull it up using the requested info. (NOTE: I just noticed that you don't have to have your record locator... you can use the flight info instead if you don't have the locator code).

Once you have attached this reservation to your Aadvantage account, you should be able to select it and View it. One of the things you can do is pick your seats at the right of the screen.

I usually call them on their 800 #, if there are seats available (released by AA) they will assign you one.

AA made some major changes to our Feb. flights, so I called them and rearranged the flight times. When I hung up the phone I was able to log into my reservation using my name and confirmation number (record locator) and pick out our seats.

Hi Alexander - I'm just wondering why you didn't just have them take care of it when you were talking to them?
