I think folks who deal directly with Disney just want that extra bit of control. They are definitely giving up any discounts available with TAs, and other services that TAs offer, but for some folks that's okay, that's what they want. It's nice that DCL offers both the option of booking directly or using a TA.![]()
With all of the cruise lines you can book directly, if you want to. Most people, myself included feel it is better to book through a GOOD TA. This way you usually get a much better price and if you have a problem you TA will be there to help. I don't see that booking directly gives you any more control, then booking with a TA. Of course each to their own!
By the way, I am new to this forumn, but not to message boards and newsgroups. I do agree they can become very confusing.
