Pick the New WISH Shirt for any great event that you may be doing!

Good Morning! As promised, here is a poll for the shirt for the Columbus Event...as suggested though, it could be generic in that we could leave the name of the event off the shirt, or we could add it on...you pick! Secondly, we need to figure out what type of shrits we should like to get.....tshirts, long sleeved tshirts or sweat shirts....so there is that...although we could go with one color and all choose what sytle shirt we would like...so here goes, my attempt at a poll.

Great choices! I picked the first design, but they are all good! I'd prefer a "generic" shirt without dates or events for myself. Any way the shirt can be cool max?

If there is going to be a generic shirt, maybe you should change the title of the poll to include all WISHers.....

They are all cute. I too think that the shirt should be generic for all WISH run/walk 'club' people and I also prefer coolmax or similar wicking fabric. I picked short sleeve because CDC is in Aug but would maybe get a second one in long sleeve since it's only short sleeve weather a couple months a year.

I'm not going but wanted to say what creative ideas!!! I especially love Opt 2! I just LOVE that face, it's calling to my inner penguin Opt 5 has me cracking up with that sign LOL

I will have to see what I can do to get some pricing on cool max, as the shirts I am taking about for Columbus are not cool max since the weather will most likely be cold.....

I will go ahead and change the title to all WISHERs and maybe Carrie can put me in touch with the guy that did the shirts for Disney and maybe we can do some sort of standing order....

Gonna have to go check into all of this...after I shower. Just got my 6 miles in and I am pooped!

Hi Liz,

I love them all, but number one is my favorite. Do you know how the logo will be put on the shirt? silk-screen, iron-on, etc? I ask because there may be ink/dye color considerations.

I would also prefer no race names/dates and coolmax, wicking material!

I have thought about the same exact thing about color.....

For those that want just a plain old cotton tshirt.....those can be done via ironon....not worried about that......even have a friend with a professional machine to take care of that.

But for the others that want a wicking shirt, they are going to have to be screened.....there is also the possiblity of getting the penguin done in all grayscale so we are just dealing with one color for screening....of course since the lime green shirts were such a hit at the Disney event, I do believe that color is gonna have to be the only good choice as far as shirt color....and then the details of one sided shirt or two....oh the details.....

Please keep voicing opinions here....I am glad to hear what others are saying!!

All the designs are really cute! I picked #2 because the penguins were just soooo cute!

I, too, prefer without race dates or logos , and wicking material would probably be best.

They're fabulous! What a great idea, Liz! It would be cool to have shirts that are for the Dis WISH team, regardless of event. I picked #2, but are there any concerns for copyright with John Bingham?

Not completely sure about copyright issues....and techinically, that is not his JBR penguin or motto....but I could always send an email to him with the design and see what he has to say about it...if he says it is a no go...we move on to something else.....Good idea about asking about that though.

Hi Liz, Thanks for setting this up. I voted for #2, but I liked #1 as well. I really liked the shoe on #1, but I wasn't so crazy about the font (with the hearts dotting the i's). I know - that's probably a guy thing, but if the font from #2 was on #1 I would have gone that way because I really liked the shoe.

I'd also love a coolmax wicking shirt, that's generic that I could use for training or other races. Lime green would be great. Also a good way to stand out from the crowd.

Hmm, Dave does have a point - the lettering on Option 1 is a little bit girlie. I wonder how the penguin superimposed over the shoe print will look if it is all one color....that is still my first choice though. I'd love to see it on the back of a shirt with the WISH 2006 that Sunny designed on front.

Just a cuople side notes that popped in my head. I love COUrage to Start, but that's the name of one of the penguin's books. That with teh penguin may be too much. JMO.

Also, if you're wearing your shirt as an outside layer, cotton vs cool max is probably not a big deal. However, even if it's cold, having CM on teh inside helps alot to keep the moisture oof you skin.

Thanks for all the input...I did send the Penguin himself an email about the shirt ideas. I haven't heard anything back yet, but I will give it a couple of days and try again. I also need ot get pricing on the cool max shirts...hope to do that later in the week.
