Hey Everyone,

I’m headed to property 10/23-10/30, and as my SO and I began to plan restaurants, I noticed my SO cares more about theming than food quality or anything else. This got me wondering, what is your pick 6 (one for each park, one for resorts, one for DS) of best-themed restaurants at wdw?

I’m especially interested to see everyone’s favorites in Epcot, Disney Springs, and the resorts!

During October, in Epcot I would eat around the world during f&w vs a ts dinner. lots of unique things to try.
Thanks! I’m definitely excited to eat and drink my way around the world as it’s my first time at f&w.

I have to admit I'm one that thinks theming can be more fun than food! It's a really tough choice, but I would say most themed goes to:
Biergarten at Epcot, Sci-Fi at DHS, BOG at MK, Yak and Yeti at AK, T-Rex at DS and for resorts Ohana (not sure that's open now, though).

For Theming: Hollywood Stuidos-Sci Fi
Magic Kingdom-For ones I've actually eaten at, the theming at Be Our Guest is of course great. Ive heard Skipper Canteen is neat but never been there myself
Epcot-Eat around the world
Animal Kingdom-The qs in Pandora

Where theming is super! But food may or may not be...
Skipper Canteen (food is just okay)
Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex (couldn't pay me to eat there but the places are really cool inside)
Be Our Guest (but a huge MEH to the food)
San Angel Inn (also Meh to the food)
Sci-Fi Dine In (amazing theme. food is hit or miss)
50's Primetime (more fantastic theming and comfort type food)

Now the list where FOOD is factored in as being fabulous along with the theme:
Boma (our favorite restaurant on property. The food is the stuff of my dreams)
Garden Grill (the restaurant spins so it has a wow factor and breakfast is fantastic)
Biergarten (so much fun and I didn't know I loved German food until I ate here)
Tusker House (great them and great food)
Whispering Canyon (Delicious plus server schtick)
Sanaa (great food, and animals right out the window)

HS Sci-fi
MK Be Our Guest
AK Yak and Yeti
EPCOT La Hacienda (if fireworks back)
DS TRex
RESORT Beaches and Cream

Edited to add: We enjoy the food at all of these as well. Maybe not our favorites but definitely good options.

MK - BOG or Tony’s.
DHS - 50‘s PTC
AK - Rainforest Cafe
Epcot - Coral Reef, Chefs de France, Tutto Italia

MK- BoG
DHS - Sci-Fi. Honorable mention to Oga's Cantina (mostly beverages - a few (not very good) small food items)
EP - San Angel Inn - beautiful restaurant. Food is fine but not spectacular.
AK - Nomad Lounge and/or Tiffins -- bonus the food is great at both too
Resorts - Sanaa at Kidani Village - particularly for lunch when you are potentially seated by a window with savanna views. Food is great here too.
Disney Springs - Raglan Road. Food is very good here too... really fun atmosphere.

MK- BOG, CRT, or Skipper Canteen- food isn't great at any of these. BOG is neat, but I like CRT a bit better for theme/atmosphere. Skipper Canteen can be fun, but depends on server and seating.
DHS- Sci Fi, but agree on going to Oga's for drinks. We stick to burgers and shakes at Sci Fi.
Epcot- Biergarten and San Angel would be my tops, but I hate San Angel's seating and have bad memories of the food.
AK- If you're good with QS, Satu'li Canteen in Pandora, but I do think Tiffins in great and I almost get a bit of a museum vibe to it.
Resort- Sanaa, but I would go during daylight hours so that you can look at the animals on the savanna. Topolino's or California Grill if you like a meal with a view.
Disney Springs- The Edison is pretty neat inside and we enjoyed our food and drinks there. Raglan Road can be fun, but we think the food is really blah.

Note: So as not to be influenced, I avoided reading other people's answers before responding.

DS - Raglan Road and T-Rex
Resorts - Whispering Canyon
MK - Skipper Canteen
EP - Garden Grill
HS - Sci-Fi Dine-In
AK - Nomad Lounge/Tiffin's

DS: Rainforest Cafe, Enzo's or TRex (never ate hear but I hear the theming is fun)
MK: Skipper Canteen, Cinderella's Royal Table, Liberty Tree
EP: Garden Grill or Mexico inside (we didnt enjoy food, but the ambiance was amazing)
HS: Sci Fi or Prime Time
AK: Rainforest Cafe

MK- BoG
EP - San Angel Inn
DHS - 50s Prime Time (maybe Roundup Rodeo when it opens?)
AK - Satu'li Canteen
Resorts - California Grill (the theme is the VIEW!)
Disney Springs - House of Blues (for the music)

HS - SciFi or 50s Prime Time. I prefer the food at Sci-Fi over Prime Time because Prime Time is a little heavy. My favorite is actually Hollywood Brown Derby. Themed sort of like the original restaurant and food is good. Be aware though if you are seated on the main floor instead of up on one of the side floors, it can get loud.

MK - Skipper's Canteen and I like the food there. I'm not a fan of BOG, unless you are seated in the Rose Room it can get loud and is just a very big open room. For old time's sake, I like Tony's the food isn't the best but it's one of the older restaurants there.

AK - Tiffins. Love the food and love the theme and story behind it, bonus points for before dinner drinks at Nomad Lounge.

Epcot - this is tough because basically all of World Showcase is worth going to, yes even China even though it will remind you of your local Chinese. My favorite is Marakeesh in Morocco but it's not open right now. Love the food and you can't beat a belly dancer while you are eating. I like the food at San Angel in the Mexico pavilion but the service can be hit and miss and pre-Covid it was very crowded. I'm not sure how it is now. For food alone, I love Spice Road tables but it's also not bad on theming. I also agree with tasting at the booths.

Resorts - this is hard as we don't eat at the resorts that often. Sanaa at AKL can be good for theming since if you get there at the right time of day and get the right table you can see the animals, get there at the wrong time of day, the wrong table and the wrong server and it will end up being one of the worse places to eat on property. Love California Grill at Cont. but the theming is just that of a nicer restaurant. The food is good and the service great. Depending on when you are going and if they are open again and you want to drop over $700 for a meal for two, V&A's at the GF can't be beat. Flying Fish at Boardwalk isn't bad, the theming isn't anything to write home about but the adjacent bar is fantastic.

Never been to DS so can't help.

Now ask about bars and I can really help there.

Here's my list:
MK: Skipper Canteen, a lot of interesting things to take in.
EPCOT: I know we're supposed to pick one but there are some great "theme" places: Germany, Morocco
AK: Tiffins really walk around and just look at all the cool stuff
HS: Sci-fi,
Resorts: Sannah
DS: Edison, Boathouse for a tacky time: Rainforst Cafe or T-rex

MK- CRT or BOG.
AK- yak and yeti or tusker house
epcot- San Angel Inn or Biergarten or coral reef for the aquarium
HS- Sci Fi or 50s PT
DS- TRex or Boathouse
Resorts- Ohana or Storybook dining or Sanaa for animal viewing

Hey everyone,

Thanks so much for the suggestions! My gfs favorite is San Angel Inn (even though I remember the food being very meh last time I was there probably over a decade ago) and mine is garden grill (which she hasn’t been to), so we’ll probably do those for lunch on our Epcot days and eat around the world for f&w for dinner. Sounds like we’ll also have to get to Sanaa on one of our AK days and either tusker house or yak and yeti for the other. Not sure what we’ll do on the MK and HS days, but will probably do one in park at each and one in DS the second night of each park. For DS I’ll try TREX (as a kid I used to go to rfc in nj for my birthday dinner every year) and then probably somewhere a little more upscale (maybe Jaleo or try to get CG or Ohana during fw) depending on what’s open by then (fingers crossed it’s mostly back to normal).

Thanks!
