Im trying to go to some new places this year. If you had to pick one, which of these three would you choose for dinner (Myself, Hubby, DD13 and mother 82)

Shutters (Caribbean Beach Resort)
Boatwrights Dining Hall (POR)
Maya (Coronado Springs)

Also, please let me know how far a walk from the front door of the resort to the restaurant. My mother cant make it too far, but certainly through a lobby.

Boatwrights is fun if you stay for the evening entertainment. A great thing about POR is the boat ride to disney springs. You can either start there or go there after dinner.

I've only eaten at POR, but we loved it. IIRC, it's not far from the front door.

We loved the food at Boatwrights. We also enjoyed looking around the resort afterward. We tried Maya a couple times and it was ok.

Of the three restaurants you have listed, I have only eaten at Boatwright's. We have actually eaten there twice, and both times we were totally underwhelmed! The food was not very good. Our servers were great, when they were attending us. The service seemed really slow.

We've eaten at Shutters and Boatwrights. I often say that I really like Boatwrights... IMO, the food is better than Shutters. Enjoy.

I was served a chicken flautas appetizer at Maya (it is no longer on the menu) a few years ago that was still frozen in the middle. Two days later, I was as sick as I have ever been in my life. It lasted for three days. I know if I say it was food poisoning, I will get a bunch of comments stating that I have no way of knowing that is what made me sick unless I had a test by a doctor. Suffice it to say, we never went back.

When my son was a cast member, we decided we would try as many of the restaurants as possible and that included Boatwrights and Maya. I would not go back to Maya. It was kind of a depressing venue, not a lot of people and the food was slightly less than ok. Boatwrights is ok, and nice to try if you have not been to PO, but I would not add that back to my list with so many better places to choose from. Never got to Shutters as the menu is not to my taste and we never heard good things about it.

If I was having to choose one of these I would pick Shutters. Why not pick one of the new restaurants at Disney Springs ? We ate at Art Smith's Homecoming in December and it was fantastic. It is miles better than any of the three you have chosen here. May I ask why you choose the three that you did.
