Picassa help please....

I need a little help and was hoping someone would know what was going on....I am trying to sharpen a photo using Picassa. So I hit the sharpen button and it sharpens the picture then I save it but the saved photo is not sharpened even though it looked sharpened before I saved it.....I hope this makes sense. I would love any input from people more knowledgeable about this than me Thank you so much!

I would hazard that you are saving the file to a different place on your hard drive than you think. Thus, you are looking at the original and not seeing any changes, because the edited version is somewhere else. Human error ;-)

Look extra carefully at where the file is being stored as you save it.

I wish it was that easy. But I am just clicking save as and adding edit after the number and then comparing them since they are saved right next to each other. I am still messing with it trying to figure it out.............thanks for the suggestion !

Well this might answer it...I just found this on their website. I am posting it in case anyone else is having that same issues.



Why are the sharpen edits not applied to my exported photos?

Sometimes users find that the sharpen edits are not applied to photos after they have been exported. This problem with the sharpen feature is a known issue. Added sharpness is not fully retained in an exported photo. However, all other edits should be applied when exporting. Our developers are working to create a solution to be included in the next update.
