Hello all,

During my undergrad college days (I have a bachelor's degree in Marketing). I have done two college programs (both custodial at AK), and in between internships I was a campus representative at my university. A few years have passed since then and I would like to go back to school and eventually do a PI with Disney. I have been working in hospitality/catering services (with the same company) the past four years and I got promoted to a supervisor position not too long ago.

I would like to take courses for a Hospitality Management certificate. My main question is: Has anyone applied for a Disney PI with only taking classes for a certificate? I have been looking at the requirements for the PI's, and some say that you have to be a degree-seeking student; while others say that you only have to be enrolled in one class before you start the internship. Thank you for your time and answers.

If you look at the at the actual job postings, you will see that under eligibility:

"Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship"

Which specific internship are you looking at? Have you thought about posting this question to the Disney Professional Internship's Facebook page? It is heavily monitored.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't realize that they had a facebook page. I asked the question on their facebook and twitter pages. My top three internships I am looking at are:

1. Catering & Convention Internships (I feel like this would be best fit for me based on my work experience and I enjoy working in this type of jobs)

2. Marketing Internships

You would be placed in one of the following:
  • Disney Floral & Gifts
  • Global Relationship, Disney Cruise Line
  • Disney Photo Imaging
  • Disney Institute
  • Disney Gift Cards
3. Guest Relations Internships (Alumni only)
