We're heading back to VWL for our third time as members but this is our first time in a one-bedroom. Does anyone have any photos anywhere on the web that I could see what it looks like? The tiny floor plan on the DVC site is fairly worthless. I just know someone has taken pictures of their room! Also, any suggestions on room location? We have a baby (11 months) and a nearly 5 year old. I figure I'll be stuck upstairs with my ds napping while dh and dd are having fun at the pool. I'd like to be able to see them from our balcony. Are there any one-bedrooms where I could at least wave hello?

Thanks!!!

ps - We're so excited to move "up" to a one-bedroom we can't stand it!!!

Hi Epcot Mom,

I took a bunch of pictures of our one bedroom unit on our trip last August and turned them into a photo tour.

VWL One Bedroom Tour

We loved it at VWL and the one bedroom units are wonderful! Most of the DVC units have a woods view, but there are a few that have a view of the pool. (We were lucky enough to have one of those). Make sure to request it and hope for the best. You never know.

Have a great time!

I love this site!!! I just knew someone would have something like this, but I never imagined it would be so detailed and fantastic!!! That was exactly what I was hoping for!!! Now I can quit spending an hour in the middle of the night up wondering where I'm going to put everything!!

Thanks so much! Your link was fantastic!!!

Great pics and thank you for the photo tour! We will be staying in the VWL w/ family in Oct. I've seen the lodge before, but never stayed there, and couldn't really remember the rooms vividly from seeing the demo room. Now I have something to show off where we are going to be staying. Actually we'll be in a 2 bedroom (1 bedroom + studio) so this is just great.

Thanks again for taking the time to do such a wonderful photo tour and sharing w/ the rest of us.

Do you remember the room number by chance? It looks perfect!!

For others going also, we call dibbs on this room May 3-11!!!

:)

Thanks EpcotMom. We loved VWL. The room number was 4523. It was a great room. Close to elevators, great view and quiet. I don't think we heard anyone else while we were there.

Please don't be disappointed if you don't get a pool view room. There really are just a few of them and I'm sure a lot of people request them. You'll have a great time no matter where you are!

BillPA - are you referring to my site at tagrel.com? I don't know what virus software you run, but I run both McAfee and Norton (both up to date) and have never had any virus warnings, nor have I heard from any of the 100's of other daily visitors that I get having any problems.

Would you mind sharing where you were on the site, and what your virus software said, exactly?

I would have much appreciated a PM telling me the details as opposed to a fairly cryptic general warning about my site.

Thanks,

Thanks, I know it is a long shot, but it never hurts to ask. I know they are full some of the nights we are there so someone will be in that room...why not me!!

Thanks again,

Epcot Mom

I requested this room 11 months ago when I made the ressie. We leave in 12 days!I'll let you all know if we get it.
Tagrel,I have never had any kind of problem with your site.I suspect Bill may have something on his pc that's causing the message.

Epcot Mom - bring your own stroller, and at nap time, while hubby is at the pool with your 5 year old, walk the baby through the paths, get the baby to sleep in the stroller and then you can enjoy the pool also. I learned that the hard way, I first would go to the room, then after a few days, said forget this, and started to stroll the paths at nap time, one day I ended up all the way over by pioneer hall, and spend the time rocking on the chairs ont he porch while my little one snoozed inhis stroller, when he woke up, we took the boat back and played in the pool!! For this reason we love VWL, so much "quiet" things to do!

Thanks, I don't know that I would have thought of that. It sounds like a peaceful thing to do. We love the quiet at the Lodge also and this is a perfect way to have the best of both worlds!

Thanks,

Epcot Mom
