Thank you for the information! I was able to book with a 25% off rate which I didn't think was to bad. Do you think I will still enjoy the resort? I'm there on a solo trip and prefer the quiet pools anyway. Doing a split stay as I have a conference at CS and wanted to try somewhere else. Do you think I should have booked something else?

Personally, I would book elsewhere. IMHO, 25% off is not enough compensation for the construction and noise. If you want to be in the EP area, consider pricing out Swan/Dolphin or BWV (BWI has always been too loud during our stays). If you want to stay deluxe, perhaps also consider AKL or something in the MK area.

If you have any interest, I would go on the Marriott site and price out Swan and Dolphin. I can typically get rooms there for far less than you will spend at any Disney deluxe and you will be in the same location as YC/BC.

Or consider WL and use the savings to take a Minnie Van to EP and DHS! We have stayed at WL/BRV/CCV multiple times and absolutely love it.

If the weather is nice during your trip, expect the quiet pools to be anything but quiet. I have seen the YC quiet pool pretty busy on random weekdays in May & September, when SAB was open.

Does anyone know if they're filling the deep "river" section of Stormalong Bay during this refurb? Personally, I love that there's still one deep pool at Disney World, though I do understand why they're making everything shallow.
