Photos of my ankle injury - WARNING - The images are pretty graphic

Take care towncrier....I know my Mom's leg was like a road map, but her injuries were major (they wanted to amputate). Praying for a fast recovery time.

Thanks for the photo enhancement Jeff. I wasn't quite able to make out the text in the original image.

Pop Daddy replied:

And here I was hoping for a "Long Post" reply.

Towncrier...it looks all too familiar. DH had that same cast, the same "hardware" in the foot...it's not pretty and it's not easy either.

My best to you my friend.

OUCH How did you break it, looks pretty sore? Hope it heals fast. :( :D

 Good to see you back on the DIS John..
Hope you heal quickly...

Need to have a 'Sign John's cast' meet...:jester:

Ouch -- you poor thing! I hope you are feeling better and that the stitches, staples and pins aren't causing you too much pain.

Hope you heal quick.

What a very apt name - Dr Helper! ;)

That does look nasty John. I scrolled down very slowly when you said the pictures were graphic - it looks very neat but OUCH to all the swelling. Hope the painkillers take the pain away for you, there is nothing worse than being in pain for 24/7, is there?

Take care!

That cast is close enough to lime green, isn't it.:teeth:

Just looking at the stitches made my foot hurt. I hope you're on both feet soon.

Oh my gosh! Are you worried about the scar?:(

They make some kind of scar ointment that works pretty well. It's prescription, can't remember the name, it's a type of antibiotic cream? I've used it on my shoulder.:sunny:

Hope you get well soon! :sunny:

Do you want me to take picutures of my ankle with it's scars so you can see what it may look like in a few years? ;)

Due to the damage I did, I've got one little spot on the side of my foot that has no feeling at all. It's a rather creepy feeling. I hope everything heals up fine for you.

And I thought Millenium Force was scary!!!!

Heal quickly, John!

WOW John....nice pics!!!! I do like the beard, it fits you well. There are more screws there than are in my walls at home holding pictures up!!!! :)

Hope you heal well and quickly - well I don't know if quickly is the right word.

From an old X-ray Technician - you really did a number on your fibula! Lovely screws, by the way.

Hang in there - do as you're told - you'll heal faster that way!

jfulcer, shame on you!! Picking on a guy when he's down (literally!)

Oooooh, sorry, Towncrier. I had heard about your accident, but didn't know exactly how the break occured. Ice can be very dangerous . . .

But your orthopedist did a really nice carpentry job in putting you back together . . .

Take care, my friend!!!

Bless your heart! That looked awful.

John, I can feel your pain. OUCH! I remember that after almost 2 years. I actually broke both the tibia and fibula and all because I missed the darn step into my family room. Real stupid move. It will get better.
One nice thing is if you are lucky your therapist will state off with a foot and ankle massage each session. Now that was the best part of therapy.

Hugs and take care

Nice to "see" you John. the pictures were not as bad as I thought they would be. You do have a bit mair hair on your face since I last saw you though.
